To the girl
With the pale skin
Freckled face
And long(ish), brown hair
I still remember the days
In that old lovely garden
Dancing to the wind
And echos of the pouring rain
And sometimes being yelled at by Mother
For she didn't want you to be falling sickI have seen you grow
And blossom into a girl
A girl who is clever,
Strong,
And stubborn.
A girl who is sometimes a little
Like a lovely,
Crazy,
Mesmerising show
Full of desires, hopes and wonders. But at the same time I know
That growing up is harsh
Therefore allow me to tell you
To always keep a good heart
And to never let the society
Tear you apartFor I hope you know
You are just as good as you are
And that you are beautiful
No matter the numbers
No matter how they judgeAnd so I shall watch
Watch you from afar
As you grow into a woman
Full of hope and stars
For your kindness
And you silly little ways
That always make those around you
Have a lovely laugh
Will most definitely
Take you farAnd so to the girl in the mirror
(As I am talking to myself)
Do not fret
And do not have so many doubts
For your future might hold
Quite a number of moments
Where you would joyfully find yourself
In a whirlwind of what
You had once looked out the window
Daydreaming during class. In a whirlwind of moments
Moments which you would never
Never want them to past
