Go on,
Come find me.
I dare you to.Come on,
Come closer.
And hunt me with a dagger or perhaps
Even with a knife.
For I know you very well want to stab me
Maybe two or even three times.
Since you have done it before mercilessly
And more than just
A several dozen number of times. But this time would be different.
For I am no longer scared
To stand up for my rights.
For I now know
These boundaries of mine. For the pain and the anguish
Have all been washed away
Down the drain where you might find
Old tears from my youthful days. For I am no longer scared
To stand up for my rights.
So go on,
I dare you to try
To keep on putting your shortcomings
Trying to turn them into burdens of mine. For I am not one to blame
For the unhappiness in your life
And so,
Come on, come try
I dare you to hunt me with a dagger
Or perhaps even a knife
But trust me, either way
I will always survive
For now I know
These boundaries of mine.
