Grandma and grandpa
Showered me with love
For I have been told
They would always give me hugs
Perhaps I was too young
To remember very much
But I know that
They took care of me
And loved me
With their whole hearts
And whenever mum and dad were busy
They would always drop me off
At my beloved,
Grandparents' houseI was told that
My grandpa
Dotted on me a lot
I do not have many memories with him
For I was much too young
But I still remember
That one time
He bought ice cream on a cone for me
From a man on his bike
With that familiar ice cream song on
While I hummed alongAnd grandma
Would always spoil me
With so much food,
Almost like a feast.
Cooking me incredible lunches
The taste of her dishes
Still lingering on
Oh,
How I miss them all!
For her meals were truly
Irreplaceable onesAnd never did I think
My time with them
Would one day
Come to an end
For never did I think
Death was such a thing
Until grandpa
First left
