I know I shouldn't accept your apologies
Oh,
I know I shouldn't take them in anymore
And I know I shouldn't be so forgiving
Because that will just make you
Take advantage of me moreBut I cannot seem to let my grasp go
Despite all the hurt you always cause
And if you were a stranger to me
It would make things easier
For me to walk away and say
"Mission abort!"
But the problem is that
You are my own blood,
The same one that runs in my veinsAnd only because of that
Will I always take your words in
Like a damn fool
Allowing sticks and stones
To be thrown at
Allowing daggers and bullets
To tear right through my skin
Straight into my heart
Without even putting up a fight
Because what's the use of arguing
And starting a war
When I already know
That I will forever give in?
