"i got it." murphy reassured raven in a confident tone, before beginning to screw off a metal plate hooked onto an unknown function. may on the other hand, was helping pack boxes with raven, deciding that doing the easier stuff was better.

"you sure? it's heavy." raven queried to him, unsure if he would actually be capable of handling the plate, considering she knew how heavy it actually was.

just as raven had said that, the plate came off the function without a problem, landing in murphy's hands and almost dragging him down to the floor. may couldn't help but stifle a laugh, she sure was in love with him, but sometimes she needed to remind herself she was in a committed relationship with a clumsy man.

as murphy carried the heavy plate quickly to one of the storage containers, emori looked around suspiciously, "this is why they left us behind? to scavenge tech?"

may chuckled lightly, and looked to emori, "i thought we already told you, they're coming back." she assured the anxious grounder.

"forgive me if i don't believe what your people say anymore."

at emori's reply, she couldn't help but feel a reel of guilt sink deep into her heart. lately she had been trying to forget the events she had witnessed these past couple days, as well as she had shot a man clean in the brain, but that didn't beat the fact that emori almost went to be tested in the tubes just because she lied to try and save her life. personally, may wouldn't have done what emori did, but she understood.

"may's actually right." raven chimed into the conversation, continuing to pack the tech they had scavenged from around the lab, "don't worry they might ditch murphy, but may and i are too awesome to leave behind."

may couldn't help but chuckle at what raven had said to reassure emori's nervousness, "we are pretty awesome though, aren't we?" she had spoken to her in a low tone.

"of course we are, doc." raven replied to may with a smile, "we've been here since the beginning, there's no way they'd leave us behind, especially you, miss 'i'm a certified surgeon and can save anybody's life because i'm that awesome'."

may let out a genuine laugh at raven's response to what she had said. the two had gone through some tough times together, and forces beyond their control had pulled them apart for some time, but that didn't stop them from being close friends.
