MAY FERNSBY DIDN'T THINK LIFE COULD GET ANY WORSE AFTER HER MOTHER DIED. she didn't think that pike winning the chancellor's election would result in him taking a team out to massacre an army that was sent to protect them from ice nation, the actual people who were responsible for mount weather's explosion, as well as the death of her mother.
she was highly disappointed in her close friend, bellamy for being apart of it, for standing with pike and massacring the army with him. she didn't recognize him as the intelligent, caring man he used to be, and that scared her. for the first time since ever knowing him, she was scared to be near him, afraid of what he would become.
so she hid herself in the med bay to keep the attention off of her, just recently kane informed her and abby of how indra signaled and wanted to meet, and sent octavia to see what the woman wanted since he himself was being watched everywhere he went. may stood with kane, abby, and octavia's beliefs, she despised pike's ways and wanted to help the three in any way she could, which was keeping the attention off of her incase kane needed her to do something discrete just like octavia was currently doing.
may was in the now empty med bay by herself, after not even a minute ago pike arrested lincoln and sick grounders, including nini. so many emotions ran through the seventeen year old, nini was innocent, and still very sick. she didn't deserve to get locked up in a cage among with her other people just for being born on the ground.
the airlock doors buzzed open, signaling someone had walked in. may turned around to see who it was, only it was the person she didn't wanna see, bellamy. her chest began to tighten in panic once she realized all the secrets she was keeping from him, octavia escaping, her on kane and abby's side to help stop pike any way possible.
"yes, bellamy?" may questioned with a bitter tone once he stopped just a couple steps ahead of her.
bellamy gulped thickly, unsure of how to get the words he needed to say out of his mouth. he knew how the seventeen year old looked at him now, just like his sister, with fear, and confusion of who he became to be.
since he didn't speak, may did instead, her angry, unbalanced emotions taking over her words, "what are you and pike christopher columbus now? who the hell even are you?!" she spoke with a frustrated tone, referring to how the man columbus she learned about in her history books came to america and stole the native americans' land.
he shifted on his feet, his brown curls moving with him as he tried to get out his words, deciding the ignore her last statement. "may listen i—"
