"EXPLAIN WHAT WE'RE DOING AGAIN?" MAY QUESTIONED ONCE MORE AS THEY CONTINUED TO HIKE THE WOODS, meaning it as more of a demand. she gripped the handle of her pistol tightly, her finger hovering over the trigger incase a grounder were to come out of nowhere.
"you're the one who wanted to come, doc." murphy replied with a dull tone, holding an automatic rifle in his hands.
may caught murphy sneaking out of camp jaha, and of course being her, she wanted to come. she considered it guilt, during their time as being delinquents all together she'd only left the camp twice, and that was because of her anemia, it tore her down day by day, but now she's able to be treated, she wanted to go on every mission possible to accompany and help her friends.
"i know but." she paused for a split second as a thin branch slapped her right in the face. she groaned in frustration, slapping it away as they continued to walk, "—look just tell me, alright?"
"finn's leaving." murphy carelessly explained to her, "the commander only wants finn. to kill him basically. so he's going. we're gonna meet him and clarke there with bellamy and raven."
may nodded at his words, in her honest opinion, she found it pretty stupid to run when the grounders were everywhere. where would he go? just live out by the ocean for the rest of his life? alone?
she shook her doubts away, and focused her gaze on murphy. his facial expression was hardened, and no longer relaxed as it was yesterday. "what's wrong?" she asked the boy as they continued walking.
murphy shook his head, choosing silence as a response. he preferred not to share his thoughts with the girl considering they were exactly about her.
may seized the opportunity to tease the boy, letting a mischievous smirk creep up on her clean face. "y'know murphy, if you wanna kiss me just say so."
butterflies erupted in his stomach almost instantly at the girl's teasing words. he was stunned, not knowing what to say, "w—what?"
the memories of when murphy looked at her lips floated around may's mind, hence it was the whole reason she said that to him anyways. "i know you wanna kiss me." she teased, "if you want to, just say so."
truth be told, all may ever really wanted to do was be near murphy, always wanted to talk with him, hang out, just his presence gave her an unexplainable joy. and so in a split decision, she decided to tease him.
