December arrived quickly and the next thing I knew, it was my birthday. Which just happened to fall on the day of our quidditch match against Slytherin. I woke up early that morning, before anyone else was awake. Grabbing my laptop and a warm coat, I made my way up to the astronomy tower. No one ever went up there unless it was for class which made it the perfect place for me to have a video call with my parents.

Getting myself comfortable and using my coat as I pillow, I turned my laptop on and called my parents. Mum picked up the second I called them because even after all this time Dad was still unsure with technology. As soon as the call connected, I saw both my mum and dad smiling at me. Looking at them it made me realise just how much I missed them while I was at school, they had always been there for me no matter what and it was hard to be so far away from them.

"Happy Birthday, Snowflake!" Dad yelled as soon as he saw me and started to wave at me excitedly.

"Steve! For heaven's sake! Calm down! I can't see Elsa!" Mum laughed as he blocked her view of the laptop.

"Sorry, Angel," he laughed, sitting back and kissing her on the cheek.

I loved how in love my parents were. I knew a lot of kids hated when their parents looked at each other with such love but not me. It made me want to find a boy who looked at me the way that my dad looked at my mum. It was just a look of true love and it always made me smile.

"Happy birthday, Princess," Mum smiled as soon as she could actually see me properly.

"Thanks Mum, Thanks Dad. I've miss both of you so much."

"We've missed you too, Snowflake. What have you got planned for the rest of the day?" Dad asked.

"We have a game against Slytherin later today. If we win, we are in with a chance to win the quidditch cup this year!"

"I know that you are going to win, Princess. I just know it," Mum told me.

"I hope so. We were so close last year and I don't think I could stand seeing Slytherin win again this year."

"Speaking of Slytherin. What is this Slytherin turning up at the hospital wing a few months ago with a broken nose that Loki told me about. A broken nose that happened to be broken in the exact same way that Nat taught you," Mum asked suspiciously.

I silently cursed Loki and his extremely observant ways. But I should have guessed he would have known, there was nothing that he didn't miss.

"It wasn't my fault, honestly. He had it coming! I swear!" I told them, making mum sigh and mutter something about me being Dad's clone.

"What happened Snowflake?" Dad asked me.

"Well, you know that mean girl in my house, Samantha. She slipped a potion in to my shampoo that turned my hair red, white and blue for Cho Chang. It happened after quidditch training. Danny, Cedric and me stayed back a little bit after training just to have some fun. But when I got out of the shower and went to brush my hair, I saw that hair had changed colour. I didn't want to get Cedric and Danny involved so I told them that I would catch up with them later and waited for them to leave. But when I started walking back to the castle, Samantha and her little bodyguards were waiting for me. She started to sing that stupid song from Miss Congeniality and calling me Miss America. I tried to ignore her but she just kept taunting me. When I walked over to stop her, the stupid boys grabbed hold of my arms. Eventually one of them let me go leaving only the Slytherin holding me, using his arm to hold me across my throat. I just did what I had to do to get him to let me go," I told them, skipping over the part where she made fun of Dad.
