Katy sat in front of the TV until she heard the door open.

Cheryl staggered in, smudged makeup and a rip in her jeans.

"Oh God?!" Katy jumped up.

"What?" Cheryl slurred.

"What happened?" Katy asked, stroking the mascara away from Cheryl's cheeks.

"Nothing." Cheryl said.

"Why are you crying?" Katy asked, whispering.

Katy looked down.

"And this rip? What happened Cheryl?" Katy provoked.

"I can't do this anymore." Cheryl said.

"What?" Katy asked. "You can't do what?" She continued.

"I can't be with you anymore, I'm emotionally and physically drained!" Cheryl said.

"What's got into you?" Katy asked, laughing nervously.

"We're done." Cheryl stated.

"Cheryl?" Katy pleaded.

"I said we're over." Cheryl repeated.

"Rule number 1 - never fall in love with a straight girl." Katy said.

Cheryl shook her head.

"You're straight!" She said.

"How would you know?" Katy asked.

Cheryl stayed silent.

"I'm not going to stand here and defend my sexuality to you." Katy said.

"I need to go back to England." Cheryl said.

"Why?" Katy asked.

"I belong there." Cheryl said.

"No, actually, you don't. You belong here, you're meant to be my fiancé!" Katy exclaimed.

"But I'm not your wife." Cheryl said.

"Let's do it then?" Katy suggested.

"It really doesn't work like that. We can't just get married?" Cheryl said.

"Who says?" Katy asked.

"Well..." Cheryl pondered.

"Tomorrow, fuck it. In fact, let's go to Vegas? Now!" Katy exclaimed.

"Katy..." Cheryl began, quietly.

"No. Really, it's fine! Let's go?" Katy said, trying to sound enthusiastic.

"Katy." Cheryl said.

"I'll check the weather and-" Katy continued but was cut off my Cheryl.

"I can't marry you." Cheryl.

"Why not?" Katy said as her face dropped.

"I just can't." Cheryl said.

Katy grabbed Cheryl's arm.

"Don't you love me?" She asked, pleadingly.

"Grow up." Cheryl spat.

Katy was shocked, she released grip of Cheryl's arm.

Cheryl frowned and shook her head.

"Seriously, what is wrong with you?" Katy asked.

"What's wrong with me? How can you seriously stand there and ask what's wrong with me?" Cheryl said.

Katy was silent.

"I was going to resist bringing up the time you fucked your best friend whilst you were away 'working' and the time you got pregnant with your ex-husband's baby when I was away with my dying sister and niece. Now, I don't give a fuck. I'm leaving you Katy! You may have everything but you don't have anyone." Cheryl shouted.

"All we do is argue." Katy admitted, quietly.

Cheryl rolled her eyes.

"I lost my daughter." Katy stated.

"Come on Katy. Don't bring out the sympathy card, even you're better than that." Cheryl said.

Katy hadn't expected that reaction.

"You're not half the person I thought you were." Katy said, slowly shaking her head.

"People change." Cheryl said, coldly.
