Cheryl sat on the sofa with the pregnancy test in her hand, staring at the door.

Her eyes could kill.

Eventually, Katy walked through the door.

"Oh, Cheryl, baby!" Katy exclaimed, rushing towards her.

"No." Cheryl said, firmly.

Katy raised he eyebrows.

"What's wrong with you?" She asked.

Cheryl grabbed Katy's hand and opened it. She placed the pregnancy test inside of it and closed her palm again.

"Do care to explain?" Cheryl said, impatiently.

Katy went as white as a sheet.

"Oh, you don't think this is mine do-" Katy begun, but was cut off by Cheryl.

"I don't know what to think!!?" Cheryl exclaimed, raising her voice.

"Shhh..." Katy said, trying to calm her down.

Cheryl shook her head and blinked in disbelief.

"I mean, I knew things weren't going to be perfect, but this!? I want an explanation, and I want one now." Cheryl demanded.

Katy looked towards the floor like a school girl.

"Now." Cheryl pushed.

"I-I don't know what to say, you don't get it." Katy replied, stuttering.

Cheryl rolled her eyes.

"Oh I get it Katy. I get it well and clear. You'll do anything to drive me away, at least that's what it seems. You don't love me! It wouldn't surprise me if asking me to marry you was just another one of your pathetic publicity stunts. I mean nothing to you. I tell you what, I'll save you a job, because I'm beyond done with this whole thing. We're done." Cheryl said, her voice cracking.

"It's Russell's." Katy stated.

Cheryl's eyes widened.

"What?" She asked, confused.

"The baby is Russell's." Katy repeated.

Cheryl blinked.

"Ok." She murmured.

"There you go, you have your answer." Katy said.

Cheryl avoided making eye contact.

"I'll find somewhere to stay until I can get me house back and I'll be out of your hair by morning it'll be-" Cheryl began.

"You're going no where." Katy said, firmly.

"It's fine, it's no trouble. It's obvious where we stand here." Cheryl replied, biting her lip to stop her tears.

"Cheryl-" Katy said, putting her hand on Cheryl's shoulder.

Cheryl brushed it off.

"No, Katy. It's clear now, this is going no where and it's just how it, we can't help that. We're not right for each other." She said.

"I'm getting an abortion." Katy stated.

Cheryl shook her head.

"No you're not, Katy." She replied.

Katy nodded. "No I am." She added.

Cheryl took Katy's hand and guided it on her stomach.

"That's your baby, Katy." She said, quietly.

Katy looked Cheryl in the eyes.

"But it's not ours." She whispered.

Cheryl shrugged.

"No, but it's yours. That's your child. There is no way I'm letting you get an abortion. No matter how much I'd love to just launch at you and slap you right now, it's not this baby's fault." She said.

"Have I hit a nerve?" Katy asked, cautiously.

"What do you mean?" Cheryl said.

"Why are you so adamant I can't have an abortion?" Katy replied.

Cheryl looked her in the eyes.

"Because I had an abortion when things weren't good with Ashley, he cheated on me and I told myself I was worthless without him. How could a worthless woman ever be a mother?" Cheryl said, a tear rolling down her cheek.

Katy let a tear fall from her eye too, she touched Cheryl's hand but Cheryl moved it away quickly.

"Oh God, look at us blubbering." Katy said, laughing slightly through the tears.

Cheryl let a faded smile.

"I'm a different woman now. I know that I could have raised that baby, I didn't need him. I don't want you to make the same regretful decision." She continued.

"But Cheryl, I'm not you. There is no way I can raise a baby alone." Katy said, quietly.

"You won't be alone." Cheryl replied.

Katy's eyes widened.

"You forgive me?" She asked.

Cheryl shook her head.

"You've hurt me too many times before, Katy." She said.

"You need to tell Russell." She finished.
