Chapter 17.

*The next morning.*

Katy awoke to the sound of Shannon talking on the phone. She quietly stood up out of bed and grabbed her gown. She turned around to see Cheryl's sleeping figure, cozy under the velvet sheets. Katy smiled to herself before travelling downstairs to see who Shannon was talking to.

"Yes I know but-" Shannon said down the phone. Katy pulled up a stool and sat looking at her. Shannon raised her eyebrows at Katy, shrugging her shoulders, continuing to speak on the phone. "I'll tell her." She stated, down the phone before hanging up. She looked at Katy, sighing. "Management." She stated. Katy's eyes widened "What did they want?" She asked, shakily. She knew that whenever management called this early, it was serious."Katy, your tweets, the pap pictures, the careless embracing Cheryl in public. It's all adding up." Shannon said, sternly, as she pulled out her phone from her pocket. She searched twitter trends. She held up the phone to show Katy the top trend 'Katy and Cheryl.' Katy's eyes widened as she scrolled through some of the pictures and tweets.

@MTV 'It looks like @KatyPerry and @CherylCole are officially an item.'

@Vogue 'Two of our finest cover girls @KatyPerry and @CherylCole are DATING? Watch this space.'

@EllenDegeneres 'One of my favourite ladies @KatyPerry found herself a new girlfriend! Check her out @CherylCole.'

@PerezHilton 'So the rumours are true! @KatyPerry and @CherylCole are together! Have babies???'

Katy put the phone down on the table and widened her eyes whilst sighing. "Well..." She said. Shannon shook her head "I don't know how you're being so calm." Shannon asked. She heard her phone ringing, as she picked it up she said "Hello? Shannon Woodward speaking."

*After the phone call.*

"Well, looks like I've got you a spot on Graham Norton UK, with Cheryl if Lily confirms it." Shannon explained. "Oh, oh, ok!" Katy said, smiling nervously. "Why are you nervous?" Shannon asked, laughing. "I'm worried about saying the wrong thing. I can't mess this up, my reputation is at stake here. It's a big deal?" Katy said, sighing. Lily walked through the door towards Shannon and Katy. "Lily, I think you should sit down, I've got a lot to go through with you." Shannon said, shaking her head. She explained every detail and showed her the tweets. Lily put her head in her hands "Oh god." She exclaimed, shaking her head. "What do we do now?" She added. "Well, I've just accepted a Graham Norton appearance for Katy, they want Cheryl too." Shannon explained. "Okay... When?" Lily asked. "He wants it filmed Thursday night. That gives us 4 days to get back there and get settled." Shannon replied. Lily tapped her fingers on the table "Okay, let's do it." She said, reluctantly. Shannon smiled.

Cheryl came downstairs fully dressed and ready. "Morning." She said, smiling. "Cheryl, you need to see this." Shannon said, watching Cheryl sit down. She repeated what she had just shown Lily and explained everything about Graham Norton. Cheryl put her hand to her cheek "Ashley." She mouthed to herself. Lily rolled her eyes "Ashley?" She asked, impatiently. "Really Cheryl?" She added. "What am I going to do!?" Cheryl exclaimed. "Where's my phone?" She asked, darting her eyes around the room. Lily passed it to her, reluctantly.

Cheryl scrolled through the continuous texts and missed calls.

Kimberley - 'Are the rumours true?😳'

Simon - 'Cheryl, are you alright? The press is going mad here. Call me.'

Nicola - 'If you need to talk...'

Mum - 'Cheryl Ann. Call me AS SOON AS YOU SEE THIS.'

Kimberley - 'Cheryl, you need to come home??'

"Oh god." Cheryl muttered to herself. Lily looked at her "Kimberley text you?" She asked. "And the rest..." Cheryl whispered.

Katy and Shannon left the room to go and get ready whilst Lily stayed to discuss things with Cheryl. "It doesn't have to be this way." Lily murmured. Cheryl put her head in her hands "I know..." She said.
