"Katy Perry?" The police officer said as he approached her.

"Yes." Katy said, looking at him.

"We have a few questions we'd like to ask you, down at the station." He replied.

"And you." Another officer added, nodding in Cheryl's direction.

Cheryl's face fell white. Police always brought back bad memories from her childhood and her siblings always getting into trouble.

"O-okay." She stuttered, standing up and following them out of the hospital and into their police car.

The journey to the station felt like a lifetime even though it was practically just down the road.

Thoughts span through her mind, filling her imagination with doubt. She couldn't help but question whether Katy would actually tell the truth or blame it on her. All of a sudden, all the trust she had ever had for Katy seemed to be gone.

When they got there, the same two police men led them into the station and down a narrow corridor until they reached two interview rooms.

Katy and Cheryl exchanged brief eye contact before being taken in to separate rooms.

Cheryl sat down and sat awkwardly opposite the officer who was setting up the tape.

"Okay. It's 7:35am. Here with Cheryl Cole." The officer said.

Cheryl shuffled in her seat.

"Now, could you tell me how you found Rihanna in order to bring her to the hospital?" The officer asked.

"In me house, she broke into me house." Cheryl said.

"Could you tell me what happened when you found her in your house?" The officer asked.

"Well, I didn't find her first. It was Katy, she went downstairs because she couldn't sleep and then she found her." Cheryl continued to explain.

"Then at what point did you find them together?" The officer said.

"I heard voices downstairs, so I shouted Katy. She told me she'd be up in a minute, but I was curious, I went downstairs." Cheryl said.

"Then what..." The officer pressed.

*Katy's interview.*

"She leapt at Cheryl! She said she had to pay, so she grabbed her by the throat. She wasn't letting go, I tried pulling her away but she wouldn't let go. I didn't know what to do!" Katy exclaimed.

"So what did you do?" The officer provoked.

"She was hit." Katy said.

*Cheryl's interview."

"Katy hit her with the old curtain pole. She wouldn't let go of me neck!" Cheryl said.

"Then what happened?" The officer asked.

"Then, well, she fell to the ground and she wasn't moving. I kneeled down and saw she was bleeding. I told Katy she needed to go to the hospital, that we needed to take her. So, we did." Cheryl replied.

"You drove her to the hospital after she tried to kill you?" The officer clarified.

"Yes? I'm not a bad person. We're not bad people." Cheryl said.

"I'm sure you're not Ms. Cole." The officer replied.

*Katy's interview.*

"So, you're telling me someone hit her." The officer asked.

"She was hit." Katy repeated.

"Hit by what? A door? A person? An object?" The officer asked.

"A pole." Katy admitted.

"What pole was this?" The officer replied.

"An old curtain pole." Katy said.

"Well the pole didn't hit her itself, did it Katy?" The officer pressed.

"I hit her." Katy finally gave in.

"Luckily for you, she didn't die and is showing signs of improvement." The officer said.

Katy felt a slight sense of relief.

"She had rang me the night before telling me how she was going to kill Cheryl! She really can't be trusted." She said.

*Around an hour later.*

Katy and Cheryl were taken by police car back to the hospital to get their car.

"Fuck me, I'm shattered." Cheryl said, slouching into the car.

"Should I go check on Rihanna?" Katy asked.

"What will that help, help you to feel more worry than you already do?" Cheryl replied, agitated.

"The officer told me she's improving." Katy said.

"Brilliant." Cheryl said, sarcastically.
