"I really need to go, I'll miss my flight." Cheryl explained as Shannon returned from the hallway.

"I don't really know how to say this, Katy." Shannon said.

Katy frowned.

"Go on..." She provoked.

"Management are either going to drop you, or, you need to resign." Shannon eventually said.

Cheryl and Katy gasped, in sync.

"They can't do that, surely?" Cheryl asked, concerned.

"They can. They're management, they own Katy. If she's making their reputation plummet, they have every right to drop her." Shannon explained.

Katy slowly shook her head.

There was a short silence.

"I want to make a public statement." Cheryl said.

"What do you mean?" Shannon asked.

"I want to tell the public that it's not how it looks. I can't be responsible for Katy's career ending." Cheryl replied.

Shannon shrugged.

"I don't know if it'll help, Cheryl." She admitted.

"It's worth a try." Cheryl said.

Cheryl pulled out her phone and dialled her management's number.

*Phone call with management.*

"Will it hurt if I make a public statement?" Cheryl asked, bluntly. "Depending on what you want to say?" Management replied.

Cheryl paused.

"I'm going to take part of the blame." She decided. "Cheryl, don't be stupid!" He exclaimed.

"I'm not." Cheryl stated, bluntly. "It's not fair." She finished.

"I can't stop you. But, be prepared, it's not all going to be as you think it will." He replied.

"Thanks." Cheryl replied, putting the phone down.

Cheryl shrugged.

She opened twitter.

*Twitlonger.*

@CherylOfficial: 'I'm well aware of what the media is saying, and what their version of events is. But, I'm here to tell mine. We had a disagreement, and Katy brought up some home truths, that I didn't like. I hit her. I regret it now, but at the time it was just the heat of the moment. She chucked me out because I promised I'd never hurt her, and I did. So please, if you're going to penalise Katy, shift it on to me too.'

She pressed send.

She put her phone down.

"Done." She said.

"If only it was that simple." Shannon sighed.

"Well like I said, it must have been worth a try. At least I won't be ridden with guilt now." Cheryl said.

She looked at her watch.

"I'm gonna miss me flight." She said.

"You don't think I'm really going to let you leave, now, do you?" Katy asked.

"I think it'll be for the best, for both of us." Cheryl replied.

Shannon shook her head.

"No, this needs resolving." Shannon said.

"Running away from problems has never helped before, why should we start now?" She added.

Cheryl shrugged.

"Okay." She said.
