*3 weeks later.*

"Miss Perry?" The doctor asked.

"Yes?" Katy replied.

"Amelya is in serious distress and is having trouble breathing, she's been put back in the life support incubator." He said.

Katy gasped. "What? Where is she, c-can I see her?" She managed to stutter.

"I'm afraid not until her condition improves." He replied, sternly.

Katy grabbed her phone and dialled Cheryl's number. She didn't answer.

An hour passed and Cheryl still hadn't called Katy back, she was becoming increasingly worried about her daughter and Cheryl.

Eventually, Cheryl came strolling through the door with two carrier bags.

"Okay so I've got pineapple, grapes of course, oh and-" Cheryl began but stopped when she saw Katy.

"Where were you!? Amelya's been put back on life support." Katy exclaimed.

Cheryl's eyes widened. "Oh God, where is she!?" She asked.

"We can't see her until her condition improves the doctor said." Katy replied.

"Did he say anything else?" Cheryl asked.

"She's having trouble breathing and in serious distress again." Katy said, beginning to cry.

"Heyyy, come here, shhh." Cheryl said, soothingly putting her arms around Katy.

"What if she doesn't make it?" Katy asked, like a small child.

"Well, if worst does come to worst, you know it won't be your fault, right?" Cheryl replied, trying to reassure her.

Days were passing and Amelya's health was deterring by the hour.

Eventually, the dreaded words were said.

"She's gone. I'm sorry." She doctor said, quietly.

Katy shook her head.

"I didn't even get to say goodbye." She exclaimed.

"Shhhh." Cheryl said, trying to calm her down as she cried in her arms.

"There's nothing you could have done, don't kick yourself for it." The doctor said.

He watched as Katy cried into Cheryl's arms, Cheryl looked at him as if to signal for him to leave.

"My baby is dead, Cheryl." Katy eventually said, looking her in the eye.

"Shhhh." Cheryl repeated.

She held her in her arms all the way home, and then in bed that night until she fell asleep.

When Katy was finally sound asleep, Cheryl got out of bed and put on her gown before walking downstairs.

She dialled her mum's number and waited for an answer.

*Phone call with her mum.*

"Hey mam?" Cheryl said.
"Oh, Cheryl! What are you doing awake? It must be 3am over there!
" Joan replied.
"I need a favour." Cheryl stated.
"What do you need, sweetheart?" Joan asked.
"I need you to phone me agency. I need me house back by the end of the week." Cheryl said.
"Are you sure Katy wants to come and live here, in the UK, as soon as Friday?" Joan said.
"I don't care. I can't stay here any longer, I don't know whether she'll come too, but I need to." Cheryl said.
"You can't leave her alone with your baby-" Joan began but Cheryl cut her off.
"Her baby died, mam." Cheryl replied, quickly.
"I'm so sorry to hear that, Chel." Joan said.
"She wasn't my baby. She was Katy and Russell's, I don't need comforting." Cheryl replied, sternly.
"I'll ring the agency as soon as it opens at 9?" Joan said, quickly changing the subject.
"Thank you. Bye mam." Cheryl said, putting the phone down.

"Cheryl?" Katy said from the stairs.

Cheryl gasped and turned around.

"You scared the living daylight out of us! What's wrong?" Cheryl asked.

"You're leaving me?" Katy murmured, like a school child.

"N-no." Cheryl replied, stuttering, not knowing what else to say.

"That's what it sounded like." Katy said.

Cheryl looked towards the floor.

"Well?" Katy provoked.

"I was just thinking that we should go back to the UK. There's too much shit here for you to focus." Cheryl eventually said.

"We? Are you sure you're not just thinking of yourself? I'll be just fine here, you're thinking about how it's going to affect you." Katy asked.

"No, I'm thinking of us." Cheryl replied.

"Us? I thought there wasn't an us? You don't really expect me to fall for this so you?" Katy said, laughing slightly.

"What has got into you?" Cheryl asked.

Katy looked towards Cheryl's bare ring finger.

"Nothing. It's clear you never were serious about us in the first place. But never mind - I'm sure you just got cold feet, Cheryl. Poor you, Cheryl. No one else is suffering, Cheryl. Of course everything is about you, Cheryl. You got cheated on again, Cheryl? It's not your fault, Cheryl. No, I tell you what. I'm sick of being second best to everyone, you go back to the UK. You'll return and I'm sure you'll still be their nation's sweetheart. Never mind how it it will be for me! Innocent little Cheryl. I can't even look at you right now. You're nothing but a manipulative little bitch who thinks of no one but herself." Katy spat.

Cheryl was speechless.

Katy shrugged.

"You wanna leave, just like all the rest?" Katy said, walking towards the door and opening it.

"Well go ahead, be my guest. I've even opened the door for you because we can't have you chipping a nail can we, Cheryl?" She finished, pushing Cheryl out if the door and slamming it shut.

Cheryl was instantly greeted by blinding flashes from outside the gate.

"Cheryl!! Cheryl, how's the baby? How's Katy!! What are you doing out at this time?" The paparazzi yelled.

Cheryl got in the car and broke down.
