When Cheryl had gathered herself, she immediately got out the of the car and marched towards the door.
She banged on the door. "KATY!" She shouted.
The paparazzi continued to take pictures, flashes surrounded her.
"Katy. Let me in! The paparazzi are going mad out here I don't even have any things!" Cheryl shouted, beginning to feel tears in her eyes.
After a few minutes of pleading, Katy eventually gave in and opened the door.
"I've said what I've wanted to say, you better get your things then get off of my property." Katy said, sternly.
Cheryl closed the door behind her and shook her head.
"You're ridiculous, do you know that? Let's just remind ourselves of who wasn't faithful during this relationship? Who couldn't keep themselves away from poisoness people? Who didn't stay true to their partner? Because it certainly wasn't me!" Cheryl said, raising her tone slightly.
Katy raised her eyebrows.
"Oh, Cheryl, please. Don't try and guilt trip me, you'll be wasting your time." Katy chuckled, sarcastically.
"You're not half the person I thought you were! What happened?!" Cheryl exclaimed.
"Well, I do apologise if I didn't live up to your expectations, Cheryl. I'm only human." Katy replied, sharply.
"What are you talking about!?" Cheryl asked, frustratedly.
"You say I'm not half the person you thought I was!? Maybe you should take a look in the mirror. You sit around smugly, as if the world is your oyster! You want everything to be perfect. Well, news flash Cheryl, we all have problems of our own, we can't all be perfect! It's no wonder Ashley cheated on y-" Katy said, but was cut off by Cheryl slapping her sharply.
Katy clutched her face and stared at Cheryl blank in the face.
Cheryl shook her head slowly and looked at her hand.
"K-Katy, I'm-I'm so sorry." Cheryl managed to stutter.
Katy just stood, astonished.
"Katy?" Cheryl whispered.
"I think it's time you leave." Katy said, bluntly.
"I'm so sor-" Cheryl began but was cut off.
"Now, Cheryl." Katy finished.
Cheryl shook her head.
"No. I can't." She said.
"Okay, well, you can stay in the spare room." Katy replied, and walked towards the stairs, surprisingly without a fight.
"I don't have enough energy left in me to argue right now, I need some space." She finished.Cheryl followed her, she couldn't let it go.
"Cheryl, just leave me alone." Katy sighed.
Cheryl grabbed Katy's shoulders and turned her around.
She stroked her cheek softly. She whispered "Oh God, what have I done?"
She felt Katy's tear slide over her finger.
Katy looked Cheryl in the eyes.
"I'm sorry too." She replied, quietly.
"Don't be silly, I'm the one that hit you!" Cheryl said.
"I shouldn't have said what I said, I deserved it." Katy said.
"Shhh." Cheryl whispered, pulling Katy in close to hug her.
"We can get through this?" She said.
"We always do pull through, us." She finished.
Katy pulled away slightly.
"What if it's not fixable this time?" Katy asked, innocently.
Cheryl shook her head.
"It is. I promise." She said.
That night, they both slept alone in their cold, empty beds.
Cheryl couldn't sleep as she was feeling so guilt ridden.
Katy couldn't either.
Eventually they both fell asleep, after several tears dampened their pillow.
Hoping things would all look better in the morning.
