*2 months later.*

"You look beautiful." Katy smiled, lifting Cheryl's hair over her left shoulder.

"Do I?" Cheryl blushed.

"Of course you do, you always do!" Katy whispered, kissing Cheryl's cheek.

"Hmmm." Cheryl giggled, picking up her handbag. "You ready?" She asked.

"Yes! I can't believe it's Valentine's Day already." Katy said.

"It's crazy. It's crazy to think how much we've been through together." Cheryl replied.

"How much shit I've put you though, you mean?" Katy said, guiltily.

Cheryl didn't reply, she wasn't going to take pity on Katy as she knew she was right.

She opened the door and got into the car, followed by Katy.

*The restaurant.*

"KATY, CHERYL! ARE YOU MARRIED????"

A flash of all too familiar lights flashed before them as they entered the restaurant.

Although they had previously decided to get married on New Year's Day, they couldn't. With Katy's mother dying they had 2 days left of preparation. Neither of them had mentioned the topic since, it felt uneasy.

They sat down at a table mid-restaurant with a red candle parting the middle.

"God, I need some wine." Katy said, signalling for the waiter to come over.

Cheryl frowned slightly but didn't say a word.

"A bottle of your finest red please." Katy said, as the waiter scurried off to follow her orders.

"Take it easy." Cheryl said, lowering her tone.

"Why?" Katy asked.

Cheryl didn't expect that reply.

"Because we're in a public place and you can't be making a fool of yourself." Cheryl spat.

"Me, make a fool of myself?" Katy chuckled.

Cheryl didn't seem so amused.

"It wouldn't be the first time would it-" Cheryl began but was cut off by Ashley Cole entering the restaurant holding hands with his latest trophy girlfriend.

Katy looked confused, before turning around to see him standing there, winking at Cheryl.

Katy began to stand up.

"I'm going to say some-" She began but was interrupted by Cheryl.

"No. Ignore him. He's not worth it." Cheryl stated, just as the waiter returned with a bottle of red wine and filled their glasses.

Katy say back down as she was asked.

Cheryl's eyes followed him around the room as he sat two tables in front of her.

Torturing her.

"I can't believe it's Valentine's Day and my dickhead of an ex-husband appears and manages to ruin it for me whilst my dickhead of a girlfriend drinks too much and me being the biggest dickhead of all, stands for it." Cheryl snapped.

She stood up.

"I'll see you at home." She said, walking off.

Katy instantly jumped up and followed her as she could hear Ashley's distant jeering behind her.

She pushed through the crowd of people and then the paparazzi, and clambered into the car before Cheryl had the chance to drive away.

"Let's go somewhere else." Katy offered.

"I just want to go home." Cheryl said, starting the engine.

"It's not fair he ruins it for you, baby?" Katy said.

"I guess it's just how it is." Cheryl said, bluntly.

*At home.*

"Why are you constantly worrying about me drinking too much?" Katy asked.

"It's what I do. Worry." Cheryl replied.

"Well don't! You don't need to worry about me." Katy said.

Cheryl shifted.

"What?" Katy provoked.

"I can't help it." Cheryl said.

"Cheryl." Katy said.

Cheryl could feel her eyes welling up.

"God, why am I crying." Cheryl giggled, faintly.

"I don't know." Katy replied.

"I just worry. That's all." Cheryl said.

Katy opened her arms but Cheryl moved backwards.

"What?" Katy said.

"I can't." Cheryl moved backwards, bumping into the door frame and turning around, leaving.

She closed the door behind her.
