"we're gonna make you a pretty woman."

SEATTLE WASHINGTON

The next morning, was beyond tiring. Waking up the morning after, isn't an easy job. My legs felt dead, and I never wanted to get out of bed. My heart was still beating heavily, for some reason I couldn't put my finger on yet. Just laying there with him gave me this feeling of acceptance? I didn't know what to call it.

"Dani, it's almost 11....I better get going." Dave whispered to me, with his arms still around my waist. I groaned into the pillow and stuck my bottom lip out. I honestly didn't want him to go, I'd literally just met him but it feels like I've known him forever.....

"If you must...." I said with an exaggerated sigh. His hand stroked through my hair slowly, obviously giving me goosebumps. What is it with this guy? I've never felt like this before, ever. I know it sounds so cliché but it's true.

"But, how about tonight we go see a movie? Or something like that?" Dave said with his soft, mesmerizing voice. I giggled to myself, which only sounded like I was taking a deep breath in and nodded.

"Okay, what's playing?" I asked turning on my side to face him. I couldn't even explain how cute he looked in the mornings. All tired, and drowsy.

"I don't know....I think Pretty Women is playing at the Cinemax down the street." Dave said casually. I giggled a little bit and put my hand to my face, "what?" He asked confused.

"You wanna see Pretty Women?" I asked still trying to hold in my laugh. Dave shrugged it off with fake annoyance on his face. He definitely wanted to watch it, I know it.

"Okay, we'll watch Pretty Women then." I added before Dave got up from the bed, and walked over to the door quietly. For some reason, he didn't make a noise. It was sad watching him leave, it felt like he was leaving forever.

"Meet me there at 7? We'll catch one of the screenings." Dave informed. I nodded at him, as he reached for the door handle, "you're not gonna kiss me goodbye?" I stopped him quickly. Dave looked to me, walked back over and tilted my chin up gently. I swear, even the littlest glance at him set of this fire inside of me. My cheeks were burning up, probably red.

"Well of course I am." He said before doing so. I grinned at him, watching him walked back to the door, open it, and leave. Oh god, why must he do this to me? Why must he make such an impression on me?

"So....you're really going out with him now?" Annie said taking a bite of her apple. I gave her the same look I've given her the last 17 times she's asked me that.

"Well, yeah! At least I think so, it seems that way!" I answered with excitement for tonight. Now we've gone on 3 dates technically! How much better could this get? Honestly, my life felt like a movie right now. Lonely, 19 year old girl meets 20 year old boy. They fall in love, and live happily ever after....what a story, right?

"Damn, he's pretty amazing then." Annie added taking a seat next to me. I gave her the most exaggerated nod in the world. I was dead serious about this boy, and wanted everyone to know it. Especially, Kenny.

"Oh, he's lovely, Annie! Just wait till you meet him, okay? You'll love him. He's so cute, he's so adorable, he's so....just—" I fell back onto the couch with those annoying lovesick giggles. I couldn't think about him and not melt like ice. Just his voice gave me shivers....

"Oh, I'm sure. What time is Romeo gonna take you out?" Annie took another bite, "seven! And get this, Annie. He wants to see Pretty Women!" I exclaimed. Annie almost choked I swear to god. She was so shocked.

"What?! He's a keeper, Dani. Any guy who wants to see a chick flick is totally worth it all!" Annie propped up on her knees. I felt like I was a teenager gossiping to her friends. I felt like I was a little kid once again.

"I know, Annie! And if you compare him to Kenny.....it makes Kenny look terrible!" I had to add that last part to make sure Annie knew how serious I was about Dave. How deadly, overbearingly serous I was.

"Hey, it's 5:30. If you want to impress Mr. Romeo let's get you ready, now!" Annie jumped from the couch and dragged me into the bathroom. God, I hated dressing up. But, if I wanted Dave to see both sides of me, I had to. I was willing to look a Disney Princess if I absolutely had to. There's no one besides Annie who could make my makeup look as good as it does when she gets her hands on it.

"Okay, Pretty Women..... we're gonna make you a pretty woman!" Annie said with a squeal before opening up some drawers and pulling out all sorts of makeup. I was genuinely scared of what she could possibly need all this makeup for.

"You do know...we're just going to see a movie right?" I asked her before she began putting some powder on my face. I was still kind of new to makeup, I mean bold makeup. I was clueless when it came to eyeshadow and lipstick. I never really learned how to put it on.

"Of course I know! Just chillax, he'll be all over you after!" Annie said before continuing to pack all this shit on my face. This is the one time I'd trust the process, which wasn't looking too good right now.
