"It's alright, Dave. You'll be fine. My mom is very nice....sometimes. My dad is an old soul, he loves music. You'll probably be like god to him." I assured Dave as Taxi drove down my street. I remembered growing up here, it was perfect. I had so many friends....I met Kenny. I was a happy kid, and the memories seemed to stick with me.

"Okay, okay. Anyone else I should know of?" Dave cleared his throat obviously scared to death. It was so adorable seeing him all tensed up just to impress my family. How cute.

"Just my brother Liam, my aunt Mary, and her two sons, Johnny and Matt. They're 14 and 10. Her husband isn't here because of work, so honestly you'll just have to keep the swearing on a low level." I informed him. I tried to keep it simple because of how nervous he already was. But, I just had to break it to him. Let's just hope he's good with kids. Or my mother isn't going to like him very much.

"Okay. Come on." I dragged him to the front door by his arm. Dave's hands were sweaty, and clung to mine out of pure nervousness. I tried calming him down the whole car ride but he was seriously scared.

"Mom?" I called into the house, hanging my jacket up. I heard chattering from the kitchen and decided to just walk in. Everyone had already shown up, and my cousins were playing outside with toy guns. Typical boy stuff that I had no interest in. Everyone shut up and turned to see me and Dave. My brother had a stupid smile on his face.

"Dani. Oh, I missed you." My mom stumbled into me holding me close to her. She was really overbearing. But, in such a lovely way. I really did have a wonderful mother. She squealed with delight seeing that I had brought Dave.

"You must be Dave. I'm Sheena." She held out her hand to him. Dave smiled brightly at her and shook her hand with some relief I'd like to believe. My mom was playing it cool, and I thanked god she did.

"Hello." Dave said with an awkward tone. She smiled back to him and cleared her throat ready to introduce everyone else who were patiently waiting at the table.

"Dave. This is my husband Andy." My mom said pulling my dad up to shake his hand. Dave was in full on panic I could tell. But he kept it content and shook his hand firmly. Firmly, and respectfully.

"Firm handshake, Dave. I like that." My dad complimented with a smile on his face. Dave sighed quickly and gave me a side glance before opening his mouth to speak, "thank you, sir." His words were assertive. I knew my dad liked confidence and men his daughter dated. Dave was pulling it off quite well, I must say.

"Alright. Dave this is Danielles brother Liam. He's 17, and frankly too cool for us. Don't worry about him." My mom said placing her hand on Dave's shoulder. Liam looked up from his hands and smiled at Dave. Shit, don't embarrass me please. Liam, come on.

"So, you're the drummer dude, right?" Liam asked putting his hands behind his head. Really polite, Liam. I rolled my eyes at my stupid brother. He couldn't be anymore outgoing.

"Yeah." Dave chuckled running a hand through his hair. Liam nodded at his words and gave an approving smile, "cool, dude. Hey can you like teach me sometime?" Liam was quick to make it about him once again.
