Dave's POV:

"Oh, look, Dave! Palm trees!" Dani pointed out of the window. We had taken a bus to Tampa, and the whole ride was Dani freaking out. To be honest, I didn't mind. I loved seeing her excited. Shelli had given Dani her Polaroid camera to take pictures on the trip, she took that out of her bag and snapped a picture.

"I can't wait to get a bikini on....." Dani smiled falling back into her seat with excitement. Oh, I couldn't wait either, "it's gonna be so warm." I smiled at her before putting an arm around her shoulders.

"They said it's gonna be 92 out today." I said referring to the news channel on the radio. She breathed in sharply wanting to go to the beach as soon as possible. We even went a day early so we could have fun before all the show chaos and concerts.

"Courtney!" Dani shouted to the back where Courtney and Kurt were sitting.

"Do you have any chapstick?" She asked with a pleading smile. The chapstick flew threw the air and landed in her hands as she put some on and tossed it back.

"Let me kiss you." I said to her, "please?" She smiled and leaned in so I decided to joke with her and swerve away.

"Are you kidding me?" She giggled with a fake hurt expression.

"Yes, I'm kidding." I said back before kissing her soft lips gently.

"Okay, you cannot laugh." Dani said from behind the closet doors of the hotel room. She had just bought a new bikini and thought I'd be laughing.

"I would never laugh. Besides, it's nothing I haven't seen before." I pointed out anxiously waiting for my beautiful girl to finally step out of the closet.

"Oh, yeah you're right I guess." She mumbled before unlocking the door knob and stepping out. My jaw dropped on the floor practically. She looked so beautiful in that swimsuit. And she thought I would laugh. Yeah..... no.

"Oh god....." I sighed dramatically, "please let me tear this off of you." I said without thinking.

"No, David. Let's go...." she giggled before grabbing my hand and tearing my eyes away from her. The beach was pretty close considering we were at a hotel. It was hotter than hot out. The best thing was there wasn't many people at the beach with us. Only me, Dani, Courtney, Krist, and Kurt. Shelli was stuck in Washington.

"Come in the water, babe!" I shouted to Dani still sitting on the chair she unfolded. She was so exited about coming to the beach, but wasn't getting in the water. What fun is that.

She shrugged indecisively, with her sunglasses on top of her head pushing her hair back smoothly. I got out of the blue, and green water to be closer.

"Come on." I said with a laugh. She yelped a bit when I picked her right up from her chair and carried her away from the sand.

"No! No, David! Put me down!" She giggled as I got closer and closer to the water. Without thinking another moment, I lightly tossed her into the water. I knew she'd hate me for it, but in a minute tops she'd be having fun, "you asshole!" She said through laughs. The water was pretty deep, so to keep her upright, I grabbed her waist as she wrapped her legs around me.

"It isn't too cold...." she trailed off. I guess the brutal sun made it tolerable. It wasn't too windy either, so not many waves crashed over.

"Are you having fun!" Courtney yelled from the shore line. She was sitting in the sand as the white water rose and fell.

"Come in!" Dani yelled back making sure she clung onto me tightly. If she didn't, she was afraid she wouldn't be able to swim.

"I will in a minute, I'm waiting for Kurt." She smiled softly back. Dani nodded before turning back to me. Her hair was slicked back almost perfectly and her eyes were a bit deeper. Color wise at least. I couldn't help but stare for a few moments.

"I love you, Dave." Dani whispered out of no where. It wasn't a subtle one either, I think she really meant something right then and there. I swear something shifted in her eyes that moment. Something caved in on me.... I felt trapped. Everything was overwhelming.... I was saying I love you to a girl. I'd never done that before....

"I love you too." I said back with a smile.

"Oh god it's cold!" Courtney shrieked from the shore as her and Kurt dipped their feet in the water. Dani rolled her eyes and kissed my cheek before we spent the whole day having a whole lotta fun at the beach.
