Chapter 24

"Gotcha!" Lily pounced hands over him like a cat catching a mouse.

"Lily come on I need to study" Charlie moved her fingers letting himself out.

"Your not scared?" Lily pouted sitting up. The young giant had her hair in piggy tails. Wearing a pink dress with white stripes.

"No" He fixed his hair "So that was you. Where's Thomas we're suppose to be studying"

"In bed asleep I think" The girl tilted her head.

"Of course he is. How was his date?"

"I don't know...he had a weird smile on his face and talked about how amazing Evelyn is"

"It went great then" Charlie laughed making Lily smile.

"Well go get him I need to get get home and finish chores" Charlie put his hands in his pockets.

"Ok, wait here" She pointed and pushed herself up.

Holding himself up the giant girl ran off as he smiled to himself. "Damn Thomas your still sleeping? We agreed nine" He checked his phone. "No messages"

He approached the tree stump and sat down setting down his phone. Pulling out his camera. Bronzing the recent photos he adjusted his zoom before having his sight on a blue jay.

"Alright stay right there" He did a quick picture before looking it over.

"This turned out great" He smiled. Hearing the ground tremble.

"That was fast" He called still looking down.

Not getting a response he lifted his head. "Guys?" His head looking around.

"Lily? Tom?" Charlie stood getting his bag.

The ground shook again as he held himself.

"You better not be teaching her to catch me" Charlie held his bag tighter.

One final shake made him stop.

Dead silence filled the air as the trees stood still. Charlie's curly hair moved over an eye making him move it away as he looked for any sign of life.

"Where are you..." He whispered

His eyes looked to the sky.

"Come on...."

Clouds moved slowly.

"Come on out"

A flock of birds flew out of the trees as Charlie bolted.  A massive hand reached from the left missing him by a foot as he jumped and hit the ground.

His eyes looked back as dark eyes watched him from the shadows as the figure stood a good 60 feet tall.

"Crap!" He jumped up running in a random direction as the giant quickly followed.

He kept running jumping over logs and moving under branch hoping to get out of the giant's view.

Feeling the heavy quakes not too far he stopped seeing a small cave was blocked by logs.

"No no no" He quickly tried to pry off the log but a final earthquake made him slip. His eyes looked up to see the figure move away the branches revealing his location.

Cold eyes locked on his light showed it to be a female. Brown locks, hazel eyes , oval face.

Wait it's Thomas' date!
