Glasses

Chapter 5

At the edge of the trail Charlie was set down on the sidewalk.

Checking his phone he smiled as it read five minutes to twelve.

"Thank you for helping with my glasses" Charlie smiled to the dark haired giant as he smiled back.

"No problem. Thanks for helping me not get grounded for month" Thomas laughed a bit.

"My plea-"

A sudden booming voice made Charlie flinch and hid behind Thomas's hand.

"Thomas!" It called making the young giant look back as he saw a familiar man waving at him from a distance. "Thomas! Come on we brought you some left overs!"

"Be there in a minute! I found something really cool" Thomas called back.

Charlie gave a nervous laugh. "Your dad?"

"Nope my mom's boyfriend but anyway I gotta go eat lunch....by the way I never caught your name. My name is Thomas or Tom."

"Charlie"

"If you want you can come back sometime."

The blonde nodded "Sure my parents like coming on sundays. Same place?"

With a small nod the giant stood. "See you next sunday then"

Watching the giant turn and walk off Charlie smiled before turning running off to his awaiting family.

Three years later

"Will you stop following me?" Footsteps stop as an annoyed older brother glares down to his younger siblings. His arms dropped as he looked between the twins. Again being asked to watch them. "You know this trail just keep going without me"

"Mom told us you were watching us and buying us lunch" His younger brother crossed his arms.

"She did! Your right! Which is why it be a shame if you two disappeared getting lost in the woods" A smirk played on his face as the twins shared a concerned look.

"You can't let us get lost! Mom ground you for months!" His sister pointed to him giving a narrowed look.

"Yeah...good thing I'm getting an apartment"

Both looked to each other before again protesting.

"How would you not get lost?"

"I got maps you got a phone with no signal. Do the math and go. I just need to work more on it and get some photos for school and I'll be at the park in no time. And if any strangers ask you for candy or video games or a new smart phone you?" He gave a smile to his sibling.

"Run away and get help from a cop" Both answer in unison.

"See you guys are geniuses now get going I need to hurry before we have to get home." He checked his watch before moving over a log and pulling out a small map.

"What do you think he really does in there?" His sister asked her twin.

"Probably looks at porn"
