Walking in the hall Thomas felt his phone buzz pulling it out.
Charlie: I Need to TALK! NOW! Call me!"
"I just can't get a break can I?" Thomas shook his head. "Having dinner. I'm already grounded because of your girlfriend" He mouthed what he texted before walking in the kitchen.
Stopping in the door way he watched his mother working on the uncooked chicken pieces.
"Need a hand?" Thomas asked walking in.
Anna turned her head a bit over her shoulder before nodding and pointed a flour cover hand toward the can of green beans. "Can you get that started for me, Sweetheart?"
With a nod Thomas walked up next to her as he got started using the can opener.
His eyes shifting to his mother as her mind was deep in putting flour on the Chicken.
His eyes look at the flour bag that was almost half gone as Thomas shook his head.
"Are we having Chicken or flour?''
"Thomas don't start" Anna rolled her eyes as she set the uncooked bird back in the tray.
"Well you just bought that and it's gonna be gone by the time chicken is ready" Thomas said with a half laugh.
His mother ignored him as she continues with different seasonings. "Is Eve in the shower? Is that why you have time to talk now?" She asked.
"Yup." Thomas nodded
"Okay, well once you're done can you clean your hands and get Hayden?" She asked as she walked around him to wash her hands.
"Hayden left. Work" Thomas said plainly.
Anna's face dropped before she shut the water off. "Are you kidding me when?" She looked at her son a mad expression that Thomas choose to ignore.
"Five minutes ago" He answered pouring the green beans in the pot.
Anna looked confused before her eyebrows lowered as she crossed her arms trying to avoid her wet hands on her light blue long sleeve shirt that were already rolled up.
"What? What did I do Thomas? You're acting like how you did when I didn't let you go to a party last year." She leaned her hip against the counter eyeing her son as he stared at the cooking green beans emotionless. His hands shoving in his pocket as his brows lowered
"You met him at one of my birthday parties? I text him all the time?" Thomas' annoyed expression turned to his mother as she lowered her own eyebrows.
"Am I suppose to apologize? You aren't going to come in my kitchen just to make me feel bad. OUT." She pointed toward the doorway only to watch Thomas not flinch.
"What do you know? Really? I need to know where this going? Mom because if it's is...I.."
Silence hit the room as she breathed out softly. "You're not as secretive as you thought you were as a kid." She shook her head. "And over the years I put two and two together." She covered her mouth.
Thomas' shoulders dropped. "So you knew? And you knew Lily knew?"
"I'm not blind. But I knew she was going straight to you. It was cute when she was little. I use to go with her sometimes. After you won't take her I take her sometimes. Then she just did it." She said giving a little shrug.
Thomas' eyes looked in her direction. "Are you kidding me? Mom what the HELL!?"
A suprised look came on her face before she held her head "Thomas-"
"This is your fault!? Are you kidding me!? Do you know how screw she would have been if she got sick! Or kidnapped!? Remember Mom? God damn Kidnapped!?"
"I know that!" She snapped. ''I use to do it with you! It's for exposure. Besides I watched her multiple times and she never got hurt! Same damn direction!"
"Because I had to keep her under control! What about me? Huh? Am I suppose to only watch Lily all God damn day!? I'm sixteen I have a damn LIFE!''
She shook her head laughing a bit. "Your a teenager Tom. Besides she's not just my responsibility. Maybe if you stop risking our family with that human you know that!"
Thomas' green eyes showed every cursing word he could imagine. That he could muster. Rage was a clear as water as his shoulders raised and fell.
With a quick turn Thomas forces his way to the exit before he stopped just under the curved exit of the kitchen.
A breath was heard as Thomas' shoulders lowered. His head turned just over his shoulder as his piercing green eyes glared toward her. "Maybe if you raised me right. We won't be in this mess right?''
Without another word he stormed out going out the front door and slammed it shut.
Anna held her mad look. Taking deep breaths as tears began to roll down her cheeks.
She walked to the table and sat holding her head. "God. What did I do?"
