Chapter 16

"Charlie are you awake? You have bags under your eyes" Jessie reached over checking his head. His eyes opening more as he yawned and lyed his head on her shoulder. "Yeah...I was out late last night"

They sat in the hall on a bench as they were eating lunch. Students walked through most talking and joking. Some noticing the couple but continued walking. A worried expression came as Jessie brushed through his blonde hair taking off his glasses, setting them on her lap.

"Are you sure you don't wanna skip next period? We can chill at my apartment and watch a movie"

"Usually I say yes...but my mom is already upset with me. She gave me the silent treatment all morning." Charlie lowered his eyebrows.

"You sure? I just got some sour gummy worms and some creature features we can binge watch"

"....ok maybe our last period" Charlie smiled up to her.

Giving a warm smile she continues to comb through his hair. His eyes shut again as she looked to see it was ten minutes before lunch was over. She bit into her burger away from his head and bundled up her trash. "Sow wher you beew gowin" She spoke with her mouth full.

"Seeing Thomas mostly, He helps me with my homework"

She swallowed rasing a brow. "Helps? You mean your pictures?"

"Yeah...he's really tall he lets me hop on his shoulders sometimes and get good angles.

"Geez he must really work out,How old is he?"

"Sixteen but he will be seventeen in a few months" Charlie sat up rubbing his eyes as the warning bell rung.

"When can I meet him? You guys sound like really good friends"

Charlie stopped to think and shook his head. "I will figure out a time you guys can meet. Maybe on his birthday" Charlie smiled as he stood up and got his empty bag.

''Alright...meet me at two in the parking lot I'll be next to your car"
