"But seriously don't do it I have to keep an eye on you and my boss will bust my nut if he finds out you two are out making babies while your on the job. Have fun literally anywhere else but not on the Saturn's property got it lover boy?" Matthew grew a bit serious moving his brown glasses up his nose.
"Ok, now I need that image out of my head. We went on one date" Thomas snapped.
"Some people don't even need one date. Just don't get me in trouble and we will be just fine" Matthew moved away finishing his food.
"Right" Thomas shook his head. "Since we are talking. Do you guys know what we do with humans? I usually only give them to other scouts"
"You just take them to the school they have holding room for them there and they go to a separate location."
"Alright....are they killed?" Thomas asked as the other scouts shrugged
"No clue. But if you don't take them in the main guards will not hesitate to hunt you down" The boy across shook his head.
"Understood" Thomas sighed as he finished up.
"They know as much as you" Charlie sat on his bed and looking over his unfinished assignments.
"Yeah and they didn't know much on shape shifters ether Anything about that on your side?"
"Nothing but old stories and fanfics. But this one guy is always at the park whenever I go with the twins. He was the one who mentioned the tagging before. Do you think he might be involved?" Charlie asked starting a few sheets of homework.
"Maybe. Come to the park after school and tell me what you see. I could look over the trees when I'm hanging out with Eve"
"Sounds like a plan" Charlie smiled
And how old was he when you first saw him playing around here? Like ten? Eleven?"
Scratching around his neck the farmer shrugged as he looked toward his working sons.
"Here and there but nothing serious. My boys and him have had fights over his stuff but my boys were sprouts at the time."
Watching her write everything so presided the older farmer told his boys to head inside for lunch.
"That boy do something?"
Meeting eyes Evelyn looked with a smile as she shook her head.
"Just curious. I heard a lot of stories about humans running around here but knowing my partner he just laugh it off. Honestly it's just work you know. Stressing us out more then we need to"
Smiling to her response he agreed. "Anything else you need? You really helped with the livestock eating mine"
Tapping the pen to her chin she shurgged. "Well I will be talking to my partner soon but if you can keep distance. Thomas and I will be doing an investigation on any sightings."
"Well I can actually help you with that. Ronnie was watching some plants before a storm and we got a hold of some kind of tree"
Waving her to follow Evelyn quickly followed as he showed a cut tree that was halfway cut. A heart shape was clear on the wood as Evelyn knelt down rubbing her fingers along the wood.
"Strange...doesn't feel like paint. Supervisor Hayden know yet?" Peeking up to the farmer a simple no calmed her nerves. "Don't tell anyone. And thank you for your time."
Your welcome." Nodding he watched her leave.
Walking nearby a similar tree stub she noticed her own claw marks. Kneeling down her eyes looked for any remaining tiny footsteps.
She sat on the yellow and brown grass as she rubbed her face. The not so long ago events repeating in her head as she remembered how fast Thomas showed up. "Thomas this human better be a coincidence"
Getting her phone she skimmed through as she put the phone to her ear.
"Hey..." Looking around the trees she noticed more heart shapes on the trees around her.
"Their leaving messages again. I think they wants you to respond, Indigo."
