Chapter 15

Adora's POV

"Our payment is now one hundred fifty dollars a week!" Our manager excitedly said making our mouth drop.

"Wha - how!?" We all said.

One hundred fifty dollars is literally our salary in a month with bonuses and tips added.

"There's a new owner who bought this cafe and made our salary one hundred fifty dollars every week!" Our manager continues to squeal.

"Why would they do that?" I asked really curious.

"Maybe they want to share their blessings?" Adam shrugged before joining our manager on squealing. "But whatever their reason is we all should still be grateful!"

"We'll all celebrate later, but for now, let's continue our work!" Our manager said.

"Guys! Another good news!" Our baker comes in the room. "All our foods are sold out, we all can leave early!"

"To rephrase that, we all can party right now!" Our manager said in victory causing them all to cheer and me to chuckle.

I looked at the time and see that it was six pm, usually we'll be out at nine pm.

I grabbed my phone as an idea got in my head as I dialed the number that called me earlier.

It rings for a few moment before she finally answered it.

"Casp! Good news, we all can leave early because all our food were sold out! Means we can still hang out! But only in my room though." I said smiling excitedly.

"In your room?" I heard she asked confused.

"Yes! We'll have a sleepover!"

"Oh."

"So are you in?" I asks.

"Of course, what's your address?"

I tells her the address of my house before we ends the call as I put my phone back at my pocket then grabbed my bag.

"Hey, I'll be going home now." I announced.

"Huh? Why? Come on let's party! It's still early anyway." Adam said.

"Yeah, come on Adora!"

"Don't go home yet!"

"We'll still celebrate this blessing!"

They all said but I only shook my head.

"Sorry but I really have to go." I only said then bid them my goodbyes. "I need to prepare something for my important friend."

"Finally, done." I said then sighs as I finishes.

I heard someone doorbells making me smile and excitedly exits my room to get the door.

I was met by Casper with Glimmer and Bow with her.

Why are they here.

"Why do you look so disappointed seeing us." Glimmer mumbled.

"The way her smile drops when she looked at us - should I feel sad?" Bow mumbled too.

"Just come in." I said then pulls them both inside. "And Casp, welcome to my house by the way! Come on in."

"Thank you." Casper entered then looks around.

"It's not much but it's home." I smiled.

"It's a really lovely house you got." She compliments.

I smiled. "Thanks."

"Who are you, new face?" A cold voice said making us look at Razz who's staring at Casper with a death stare.
