Chapter 21

Adora's POV:

"I-I think we're lost" I mumbled in disbelief

Casper sighs, slight panic laced her voice then she reached for her backpack. "Do you have your phone there with you?" She said searching her phone thru her backpack

"No" I answered shaking my head. "We're going on a cave so I decided to just leave it on our cabin"

She just nodded in response.

I think she's still mad at me.

I don't blame her.

"No signal" Casper sighs looking at her phone as she took it back on her backpack. "Come on, let's just search for the cave, it might be near here"

"But, Casper" I stopped her frowning. "What if we didn't enters the cave exibit way?"

She shook her head. "No, we entered the cave exibit. I saw the sign - !"

"First, calm down" I said, noticing her temper getting her. "Second, if this is the cave exibit, then where's the ribbons and the stone floor that leads us to the cave? In the sign this ealier, I saw that there would be ribbons in the trees so if we might get lost, we could follow it. And the stone floor that leads to the cave"

"Should we try to look out for some ribbons then?" She asked a bit sarcastic

I sighed. "I-I don't know" I said frowning. "Because it's either, this is the cave exibit or the..." I paused

"Or the what?" She asked. "The other one? The deep forest?"

"I-I don't know, okay! But I hope not" I said before looking around. "Can you still rememeber the path that we go thru?" I asked which she shakes her head as I sigh. "One of us should try to look out for some ribbons or stone floors then in case that we're in the cave exibit"

"So, one of us we'll stay here until a person comes to rescue us while the other one tries to look out for the ribbons and stone floors?" She cleared

I nod hesitantly, not wanting us to seperate. "We'll meet up in here" I pointed towards the tree behind us then I looked at the ground where some rocks are at, as I took one. "One of us should use these rocks, let's leave a trail of it so one of us don't get lost"

"We're already lost" She muttered

"You know what I mean" I said. "So, I'll go and try to look for ribbons and stone floor while you stay here"

"Are you sure? I could -"

"No, I'll do it" I cutted her off then stare at her sternly not wanting to argue as she rolled her eyes then sigh defeatedly

"Fine, if you found the ribbons or the stone floor, you'll come back at this tree then we'll go there together. If a rescuer comes here and see me, I'll follow the trail of rocks you threw then find you" She planned. "But, what if you don't found the ribbons nor the stone floor? What if even one of the rescuers didn't come here?"

"After the sunset if we still didn't get out of here" I paused then said hesitantly. "Then we'll stay here for the night" I mumbled

Casper sighs then just nodded.

I took some rocks, luckily the ground here is just full of grass that was not so high and the rocks here are besides the trees so the rocks that I would threw would not be mixed up with the others rocks.

Then we both go to our seperate ways.

I started to drop some rocks at the ground, though 1 meters away each rocks so I wouldn't have to grab so many.
