Danica's POV

I stare up at the ceiling, the muffled voices of Alex, Izzie and Cristina can be heard. Our exam is today and I don't know how to feel about it. I'm ready. Callie helped me study but I have so much on my mind that I don't even know if I'm really truly ready. I slip on some track pants and socks, and a grey cropped hoodie. I trudge downstairs and grab a cup of hot coffee.

"What are you doing?" Cristina asks.

"Drinking coffee,"

"You don't drink hot coffee. Like ever," Alex states.

"Well people do things you'd never think of a lot," I look Izzie right in the face.

"Have you studied?" Cristina asks.

"Mhmm. Callie helped me,"

"Lucky you and George have Callie," Alex mutters.

"Yeah, lucky," Izzie mutters. I roll my eyes before heading off to the hospital.

Danica's POV

We stand outside the E.R, looking through a window. "We're supposed to be studying. If Bailey finds out we're down here--"

"We are studying," Cristina cuts off Izzie. "How do you treat frostbite?"

"Rewarm, avoid early surgery unless there's a deep infection due to auto amputation," George answers.

"See? Studying," We watch as they wheel in another rock climber. We manage to see his chest. All his ribs on the left side seem to be broken and are pressing down on his lungs. "Did you guys see that?"

"That was freaky," Izzie comments.

"I think that was a flail chest. I've never seen one before. Come on, come on," She drags Meredith away to another window, leaving me alone with George and Izzie. Great. I step back, leaning against the wall.

"You okay?" Izzie asks the brunette boy.

"Yeah. I got accepted at Mercy West," He informs. He's really going to Mercy West.

"Wow, are you gonna go?" Izzie asks.

"Well, I kinda have to now right?" Have they really forgotten that I'm still here.

"What are you fools doing here!?" We all turn and see Bailey. Oh shit. She begins walking towards us while dragging an I.V. pole for the patients. "In a few hours, you people are taking a test," Meredith and Cristina walk backwards as Bailey continues walking towards us. "That will determine the course of your entire medical careers, because the five interns with the lowest test scores will be cut from the program. But are you studying for the test? No you're not. Are you helping out in the E.R? You are most certainly not! Are you getting the hell out of here before I throw you out?"

We start walking away. "I think you are,"

"She can be very scary when she wants to be,"

"She can be very scary when she wants to be,"
