Danica POV

I walk over to Jackson, two cups of coffee in my hand. "Thought you could use some coffee,"

"Weren't you the one who said coffee meant feelings?" He asks as he takes the cup.

"Nope. Coffee and sex is what we said," I chuckle as I sit down beside him, sipping my own coffee. "I know you're grandfather pisses you off but he wants what's best for you. You gotta give him a chance,"

"I know, it's just he has such an annoying way of doing that," He sighs as he leans his head back.

"If makes you feel any better, my dad lied to me about my birth mother. My mom left when I was three only to meet her what, a year ago and have her tell me I'm an affair baby," I say with a chuckle. He looks at me with scrunched up eyebrows but an amused yet confused smile.

"How was that supposed to make me feel better?" He asks with a laugh.

"Your famous grandpa is an ass, my famous dad is an ass," I explain with a small chuckle. He smiles at me before placing his lips on my own. I kiss back but pull away after a couple seconds. "That felt like a feelings kiss,"

"It was a thank you for the weird comforting words and coffee," He smiles. I shake my head but press my lips to his. I pull away slightly, my lips still touching his.

"You gotta stop this kissy thing if you're gonna ask out Lexie," I mumble against his lips.

"Shut up," He mutters before pressing his lips harder against mine.

Danica POV

"Hey so he's fine," I jolt awake at the sound of Mer's voice, both Jackson and I standing up. "It was an allergy caused by the suture,"

"It was his fault then? Wow. That is awesome. Why don't they publish that story," Jackson quips.

"Yeah, I know. I get it. The famous grandfather, the legacy he's trying to force on you, and you didn't ask for any of it. Trust me, I get it," Meredith admits. "You're putting up walls and you're avoiding him, and you don't wanna introduce him to your friends. It was the same with my mother. But if she were here right now in a room upstairs, I would wanna go see her and make things right with her. And I definitely would want to go learn from her. And you still can," She then walks off.

"Told you," I chuckle.

"Oh shut up," He nudges me lightly. We then head up to the room. "Grandpa,"

"Dad," They both look at us.

"We wanted to introduce to some friends," Jackson informs.

"If you're both up for it," I remind, looking between the two older men.

They both looks at each other before smiling. "Bring 'em in,"

"Alright, hurry up. Come on," Jackson says as they quickly come into the room. All introducing themselves one by one. I chuckle lightly as I watch, standing next to Jackson.

"She's totally say yes to you now that you introduced her to Harper Avery," I whisper quietly.

"Stop," He chuckles.

"Stop," He chuckles

Danica POV

I stand outside in the cold, my jacket keeping me warm as I watch Bailey try to hit the baseball. This is what we chose to do for girls night. Baseball. She misses but we all cheer and yell encouraging words anyway. "You just gotta be taller,"

"Girl you know what?" Bailey laughs as she hits the next ball.

"YES!" We all scream out happily.

"That's what I'm talking about!" Teddy yells.

"Beat that Yang," Bailey chuckles as she goes to hand her the bat.

"Oh no. It's Teddy's turn," Cristina says handing her the bat. We watch as Teddy put on the helmet and gets ready to swing. The ball flies at her and she hits it perfectly.

"Woooo!" We all cheer.
