Danica's POV

"I can't do this. I can't do this. I. Can't. Do. This!" I lightly bang my head against the wall. "Every night they have sex! Sex, sex, sex! Non-stop!"

"Dani," Derek chuckles.

"Yeah?"

"I really don't wanna hear about Stevens and O'Malley having sex as much as you don't wanna hear it,"

"Her room is right next to mine! It sounds like a porno!" I whisper yell. "And why is he with Izzie? Izzie!"

"Dani, as much as I love to hear you complain about who O'Malley is doing, we have a trauma to go do,"

"You're an ass," I mumble as I quickly follow him to the E.R.

Danica's POV

"Your baby has a slight brain contusion. Her brain's bruised. It's minor but I'd like to keep her here for observation," Derek says simply.

"I gotta tell you Doctor Shepherd. I'm listening to you but I'm not hearing anything you're saying," The man says honestly. "Doctor Hahn is taking my wife into surgery right now, and I need to go be with her. You know what you're doing. G-go ahead and do it. I need to go be with my wife," Derek nods his head in understanding as the man walks away.

"Sir, what's your daughter's name?" I ask. He stops and turns to me.

"She doesn't have one yet. We just adopted her a week ago, just been tryna get to know her," I nod my head in understanding as he walks away. "Um, I can go check on the baby if you want," Derek looks down at me with a smirk. "What?"

"Your maternal instincts are calling," He jokes.

"Haha, very funny," I head down to the NICU. I put on the pink cover ups before walking over to the babies incubator. "Hi sweetie," I coo as I pick her up carefully. "You seem to have been through hell huh? You know I have a little girl too. She's older and can talk and walk. Her name is Liylah," I smile down at her as she wraps her little hand around my finger.

"You miss her huh?" I turn to see Derek.

"Sometimes. Especially when I see babies. I miss her. Part of me gets sad that I missed out on all her baby life. Liylah should be coming over today I believe, so I'm kinda excited," I whisper as the baby in my arms begins to fall asleep. "I really hope her mom is okay,"

"Me too," I carefully lay the baby back down before Derek and I leave the NICU. I go into an empty on-call room and pull out my phone. I press the call button, waiting for them to pick up. I'm greeted with the smiling face of Marlene.

"Dani, hi!" She smiles.

"Hi Marlene. Is, uh, is Liylah around?" Marlene nods before handing the phone to the four year old.

"Mommy!" She squeals. "How are you mommy?"

"I'm doing good bub. How are you? Have you been giving your mama a hard time?"
