Danica POV

I swipe my card before standing still and letting them swipe their metal detector over me. Ever since the shooting, the Chief has implemented a new security system which is a slight pain in the ass for some of us and by some of us, I mean Lexie.

I quickly change and head to the skills lab for Owen's trauma certification. I'm so excited. And by I'm so excited, I mean I'd rather be doing anything else like literally anything else. I walk in and take my seat at the front, resting my head on the desk. "Am I early? I tried really hard not to be," Meredith says as she walks into the room.

"Felt that," I chuckle before sitting up. I grab a chip off of Jackson's sandwich paper and pop it in my mouth with a smirk. He goes to say something but just takes a bite of his sandwich a smirk on his face. He still hasn't talked to me since the incident so I've decided to inconvenience him in multiple ways until he talks to me.

"That doesn't bode well," Jackson chuckles, referring to Meredith's statement.

"We did the same thing with Bailey when we were interns," Alex says simply. "Take turns treating a dummy, get an early lunch, then get back to work. It's lame,"

"Charter plane was forced into an emergency landing and collided with a greyhound bus," Owen says urgently as he walks into the room with a bunch of trauma gowns. "Mass casualty situation," Everyone sits there confused before it clicks that we should be moving. "Do I need to say it again? Let's move,"

We all quickly grab a trauma gown and gloves before running after Owen. "Close to thirty victims in the field, some critical. Multiple blunt trauma injuries,"

We run outside to see a bunch of dummy bodies littering the floor. "I was so looking forward to an early lunch," Jackson scoffs.

"Tienes que estar cagándome," (You gotta be shitting me) I grumble as I realize what we're about to do.

"This is gonna suck," Meredith complains, clearly pissed.

"Preach," I groan. I look over at Owen who has a shit-eating grin on his face. "Si el asesinato fuera legal, lo mataría," (If murder was legal, I would kill him)

Danica POV

"This guy's got a blown right pupil, an atlantooccipital dislocation, open book pelvis,---"

I block out April's ranting as I focus on my 'patient'. "Esto tiene que ser lo más estúpido que ese gilipollas pelirrojo me ha hecho hacer," (This has to be the stupidest thing that redhead asshole ever made me do) I grumble to myself as I continue to work on the dummy in front of me.

After what feels like forever, we finally all stand up as we present to Owen. "Blue team, status report,"

"We arrived on the scene to find nine casualties. We identified three as priority one, requiring immediate evacuation. Four were priority two, allowing for delayed EVAC. One was priority three and the last was sadly dead on the scene," April explains thoroughly and clearly.
