"I wasn't aware moving out was something we had to do," I state as Izzie, Alex and I follow behind Meredith after Derek told us we're supposedly moving out soon.
Meredith and Derek are back together and he's decided to move in. Which was great until I found him in my room with a tape measure.
"When were you planning on telling them they had to move out?" Derek asks.
"What? Why do they have to move out?" Meredith asks.
"Hey Meredith, I made this especially for you," Izzie hands her a dessert.
"It's a zoo. A frat house," Derek states. "With Alex and his parade of women,"
"Parade of skanks," Izzie corrects.
"Don't call women who sleep with Alex skanks or else you're one too," I point out.
"Whatever. Am I apartment hunting or what?" Alex asks.
"I don't know. I have to think about it," Meredith states. We all head down to the auditorium for the Chief's speech. I run over to a seat beside George.
"Hey,"
"Hey," He greets with a smile.
"Listen up everyone!" Chief says through the microphone on stage. "We're busy people so I'm gonna try and be brief. I am implementing a new teaching protocol at Seattle Grace. Now, some of these rules are new, and some are old and are going to be newly enforced. First second and third year residents will no longer be allowed to de facto specialize," We all write down in our own journals the new rules. "The practise interferes with the development of a fully rounded surgical education. No more. Personal relationships, personal loyalties, and personal favourites will no longer be a factor in our training program. Attending, you will spread your wealth of knowledge equally among all of the residents. In addition, we will refocus our attention on patient communication and bedside manner,"
"I feel like he's personally calling people out," I mutter. George nods.
"This means learning the lost art of humanity and compassion. For others, this means learning how to treat patients without becoming emotionally involved with them. This is a surgical program. Psychiatry is on the fifth floor. Let's not confuse the two. In addition, residents, your interns reflect on you. If they fail, you fail. If they succeed, you succeed. Attendings, that goes for residents as well. Teach with enthusiasm. Learn with enthusiasm. We are surgeons. We cut out malignancies. Let's start at home people,"

Danica's POV
I sit down at the lunch table with Lexie, Cristina, and Meredith. I turn around as I hear the door behind us open. "George! How'd it go?" I ask as he sits down beside me. He just puts his head on the table. I rub his back.
"I just--There's a water problem. I mean I'm just trying to help the Chief. Even though, all the medical facts are falling out of my ears and onto the floor," He says.
