Danica POV

I run up behind Derek and pat him on the back. "Copying me as always Derek," I joke as I walk beside him. "I still can't believe you're getting married tonight. Again," I laugh.

"Yeah," He says with a slight laugh. I can tell he's nervous but he doesn't have to be. Meredith loves him and he just needs to remember that. "Don't you have work to do? And why are you eating carrot cake?"

"I don't know. I was craving carrot cake and yes, I do have work to do so bye!" I chuckle before running down to the pit. "Good morning," I chuckle as I pop a piece of carrot cake in my mouth, standing in front of Callie.

"Good morning Bugs Bunny," Callie snorts. I roll my eyes as I swallow my piece of cake. "O'Malley, how much have you stressed out my sister? She's eating carrot cake,"

"I know," George chuckles as he walks up to us with Alex, kissing the side of my head. "She says she's been craving it and claims it's stress,"

"I am not pregnant O'Malley. When I was pregnant with Liylah, I had morning sickness, weight gain, oily skin and dull hair, etc. I have none of those," I say simply with a strug of my shoulders.

"Anyways, what do you have for us?" Alex asks.

"Nope, it's slow," Callie answers.

"You don't say it's a slow day in the pit," Alex states.

"It's like saying MacBeth in the theater," I scold, shaking my head.

"You never say it's a slow day in the pit. You just jinxed us," George adds.

"It's a day and it's slow," Callie states while chuckling, thinking we're bluffing.

"When that phone starts ringing with traumas, you're gonna wish you hadn't said that," Alex says simply.

"The phones not gonna ring. It's a slow day," Callie states just as the phone rings. George sighs as he rests his head on my shoulder.

"Señor ayúdanos," I mutter. (Lord help us)

Callie picks up the phone, still not believing that she jinxed us. "Go for Seattle Grace Emergency," I watch as her face slowly falls.

"I'll get the trauma gowns," George states as him, Alex, and I all run off to get things ready.

"Incoming!" Callie yells, panic in her tone.

Danica POV

"Becca Wells, 21 year old restrained backseat passenger. Vitals stable on route," The next paramedic announces as she wheels in another gurney. "Some shortness of breath but good breath sounds," I run over to help.

"Take her to bay two for now," Callie instructs. I follow the paramedics to bay two to work on the next patient.

"Callie, breathe!" I call over my shoulder to remind her not to panic.
