The next night, Zoya was sitting in the couch in the living room, reading a book, while she heard the doorbell ring. She looked at the time, and then kept the book aside, while walking to the door. She opened the door and found Aditya over there.

"Aditya?" Zoya asked with a light smile, "What happened? You are here at this time? Come in!"

Zoya opened the door wide enough for Aditya to get in, while she closed the door behind him. Aditya walked inside with a calm look, while Zoya followed him.

"Anyway, it's nice that you are here, Aditya. Without Pooja, the house was so damn quiet. She will be coming back two days later only, yeah?"

"Where did she go, by the way?" Aditya asked, as he sat down in the couch. Zoya sat next to him and said, "She just told me she is going to her aunt's place and will be coming back after the weekend only."

"Which aunt does she have here?" Aditya asked, "And she didn't even tell me. She has been acting a bit strange since two days."

"I know. Even I noticed it. I even asked her, but she told me that she was feeling a bit unwell, and then suddenly she said that she will be staying out for a couple of days. I didn't ask her much after that." Zoya said, "But something is bothering her. I know that much."

"Hmmm. I will talk to her once she's back. Or I will ask Arjun and check with him if he knows anything." Aditya said, while he just tapped his feet at the floor, and had his eyes down.

"So, Aditya Hooda..." Zoya moved closer to him and asked, "What's the reason for your sudden visit, this time?"

Aditya had a light smile, as he said, "Nothing Zoya. I just wanted to be with you this night." Zoya looked at him, hearing that, while Aditya held her hand and said in a low tone, "It's...it's my Maa's birthday tomorrow."

"Ohh..." Zoya muttered, while she placed her other hand over Aditya's hand, as a comforting gesture.

"Every year, this time, I used to be all alone by myself. Even Arjun won't disturb me the entire day, as he knows I prefer being alone. But this time..." Aditya looked at Zoya with a light smile, "I don't know...I felt like being with you."

Zoya smiled, as she said, "Now since I am in your life, you are no longer alone, Aditya. I will not leave you alone, even if you want to."

Aditya smiled hearing that, while he looked at the full moon night outside, through the balcony. He said in an emotional tone, "My Maa should at least waited to meet you, Zoya. She was never there in any of my best or worst times. You know how much I have wanted her in my life?"

Zoya listened on emotionally, while Aditya said in a shaky tone, "I can never get used to living without her, Zoya. I still miss my Maa so much...I miss her embrace...her beautiful smile...the way she calls me Adi...in her voice..."

Zoya placed her hand on Aditya's shoulder, while he said in tears, "I wish I could see her just once more...feel her hug...feel her kiss on my cheek...just once..."

Zoya leaned towards Aditya and held his face with her hand, and gave a gentle kiss on his cheek. Aditya turned, looking at her, while Zoya said with a smile, "I know I can't be your Maa, Aditya. But, I can definitely not make you feel her absence when I am with you."

Aditya gave a feeble smile at her, as he said, "That's why I came here. When I look at you, I forget everything else...all my pain, sorrow, mental struggles...everything..."

Saying so, Aditya gave a peck on her palm, and placed it next to his heart and looked at her with a smile, while they heard a rumbling thunder and looked out.
