It was a breezy Thursday night, and Zoya was sitting by the pillar at their apartment building entrance, dangling her legs near her bag, while Pooja leaned along Zoya's arm and munched her chips, as she looked at her watch.Taking a deep breath, she looked at Arjun walking to and forth in the front, while taking glances at the gate, with a tensed face. Pooja giggled looking at that, and she nudged Zoya's arm and said, "Darling, look at him nah. He looks like a tensed husband walking outside the labor ward, and waiting for the doctor to give the good news."
Zoya broke into a laughter hearing that comment, and Pooja too laughed along with her, as she gave Zoya a hi-five. Arjun looked at them both, laughing at him, and asked them, "What's so funny?"
Zoya controlled her laughter, as she said, "Nothing...Arjun. Nothing."
Arjun looked at Pooja, who tried to control her smile and keep a straight face. He snatched the chips packet from her and said, "I am sure you only would have told something about me. Jobless woman!"
Meanwhile, Mahi rushed out of the building lift with her wallet, and she looked at everyone still sitting at the entrance.
"Aditya didn't come yet?" Mahi asked, leaning forward to look at the path.
"I think he is probably carrying the car in his hand and coming here. No wonder, this much time!" Pooja said rolling her eyes, while Arjun chuckled hearing it, as he added, "If Bhai takes some more time, I am sure the security will feel that we have been kicked out of our houses for not paying the rent. I mean, with our bags too near us, it looks perfect."
Zoya too leaned forward from her place and looked out for Aditya, and she wondered why was he taking so much time. For the past two days, they weren't able to talk much or meet each other too, except for a few messages, as both of them got caught up with work. Zoya felt that this trip might finally give them some time to spend time with each other, which should definitely be carried out stealthily.
Just then, a jeep approached near them in speed and came to an abrupt halt next to them. Arjun looked inside the black open jeep, and saw Aditya looking at them with a smile. Zoya's eyes gleamed looking at the jeep. She always wanted to go on a road trip in a jeep with friends, but that plan never materialized. Today, looking at the jeep gave her an immense joy, and more than that, the fact that Aditya made that wish come true made her even happier.
She also looked at Aditya, who was wearing black jeans, along with a black shirt left open, which complimented well with the white t-shirt beneath it. Additionally, his plain aviator glasses took his charm a notch higher. Zoya felt that Aditya very much looked like a model, who was doing a jeep advertisement, and could have easily taken up that profession, if not for his IPS job. She wondered if he always looked this handsome and attractive, or it was because of the status change of their relationship now.
"Wow Bhai!! You didn't tell you are renting a jeep. You said car only yeah?" Arjun rushed near the jeep and looked around with an excited face.
"There lies the actual fun of a surprise, right Arjun?" Aditya asked with a smile, "I suddenly made this jeep plan, and hence it took some time to arrange for it."
Aditya looked at Zoya, and said, "Hope you...all like this!"
Zoya nodded her head with a smile, while Aditya too smiled at her. Just then, Arjun moved to the front seat to sit next to Aditya, while Pooja pulled Arjun back by his collar, and wrapped her hand around his chest.
"So...who is sitting in the front?" Pooja asked with a smile, while she sealed a look with Arjun, gesturing him not to sit there, and directed her sight at Zoya. Looking at that, Arjun replied, "I...am...sitting at the back. I love travelling in the back, when it's a jeep."
