Chapter 35: Snowfall On Its Way

Zoya was sitting in the bed with a gloomy face, while she saw Pooja packing her clothes in her bag.

"Zoya, give me that charger." Pooja asked extending her hand, while Zoya just looked down and fiddled with her nails. Pooja smiled and climbed on the bed and moved closer to Zoya.

"Still upset, baby?" Pooja asked, hugging Zoya from the side, "Zoya, it's just 3 weeks...only 21 days. I will be back immediately after my assignment gets over. Promise!"

"You know, I had so many plans..." Zoya said in a disappointed tone, "I thought to take you to Asha's wedding and do a lot of shopping with you too. I thought we will have a blast together, and you are suddenly leaving me alone here, and flying to Bangalore."

Pooja looked at her with a smile, while Zoya said looking at her, "Even Arjun is so busy these days with his project work. I rarely see him these days. I am feeling so bored these days."

"Okay...so what..." Pooja said, while resting her cheek on her fist, "Aditya is here, right?"

Zoya looked at her, hearing that. These days; the mere mention of Aditya's name created some ripples in her heart. Seeing him gave her a strange sense of delight. Conversations with him never seemed enough. Even though she wanted to brush this feeling off as a normal thing in friendship, something deep down said her that it wasn't. And she didn't want to go deep into that thought process too.

Pooja whistled at her, while Zoya just smiled at her and looked down. Pooja asked, "Where are you lost?"

Zoya looked at Pooja and held her chin with her hand, "I am not lost anywhere. You come back soon without getting lost in Bangalore. I will miss you!"

"I will miss my sweetheart too!" Pooja said and hugged Zoya, while giving a peck on her cheek, while Zoya too held Pooja's hands on her, and smiled looking at her.

Pooja was in the airport, while Zoya, Aditya and Arjun stood at the drop-off area.

"So, guys..." Pooja said looking at Aditya and Arjun, putting her hand over Zoya's shoulders, "I want you both to take care of my Chanchan till I come back. Any issue I get to know, I will come back just to beat you both, understood?"

Zoya smiled hearing it, while Arjun said, "No no! Just for that reason, we will make sure we don't give any trouble to Zoya...you take your own time and come back. Let Mumbai be in peace at least for 3 weeks. What say, Bhai?"

"Absolutely...it's been so long since my ears have been in a silence zone..." Aditya said and laughed along with Arjun, looking at Pooja.

"Ohh really? You both are horrible!" Pooja said staring at them, while she hugged Zoya from the side, "Only my Chanchan loves me, right baby?"

"Always..." Zoya said and gave a flying kiss to her, while Arjun came to them both, "By the way, I always wanted to ask this...what's this Chanchan? What's the story behind that name?"

"Well..." Pooja said, pushing Arjun behind, "It's for you to guess and us to know...!"

"Such a huge secret?" Aditya asked, while Zoya laughed, "Nothing like that, Aditya. I had a craze for bangles. Rarely can one see me without bangles in my hand. I have bangles of almost all the color shades with me...and I wear a lot in both the hands...So..."

"...so when she comes from the distance itself..." Pooja added, "You can hear that chiming sound of the bangles." Pooja said shaking her wrists, "From that Chan Chan itself, you can understand that it's Zoya Siddiqui on the way...so, hence the name Chanchan was given to her by the one and only Pooja Sharma!"
