"Arj..." Adiya uttered, while Arjun walked to the dining table and sat in the chair in front of the plate with a quiet face.
Aditya walked to the table after closing the door behind, and he sat in front of the other plate.
Arjun opened the cake box and cut a piece of cake and placed it on Aditya's plate. He then cut a piece for himself.
Aditya looked at him, while Arjun started having his piece of cake. Aditya took the knife and spoon and was tapping on the plate while he said, "Arjun...listen...I don't want an issue between you and your mom because of me. Just understand the situation...it would be better if I look for another accommodation...I have got a job too yeah...after work, we will meet every day...and during weekends, we can..."
"You reminded me I am a step-brother after all...right Bhai?" Arjun asked looking at Aditya with an emotional look, while Aditya reprimanded him, "Arjun!! Don't you dare say that...you know I have never seen you that way...I am telling this because..."
"Because of my mom??" Arjun asked, "Bhai, let me clear you one thing today...my relationship with you is God gifted...I have never seen you as my step-brother...not even in my dreams. In fact I always pray to God that if I have any more births, I want to be born as your brother only...your own brother! I feel blessed to have a brother like you in my life, Bhai."
Aditya was emotional hearing it, while Arjun stood up from his place and added, "I always have the guilt in my mind, that my mom and my birth were in fact a reason for Amrita Ma's death...I can't bring her back, but the least I can do is, be with her son and try to somewhat fill her void in your life...you can't give me that peace too Bhai??"
Aditya had tears in his eyes hearing it, while Arjun said in an emotional tone, "Bhai, I don't even share a good relationship with my parents. Especially once I came to know how they built their house breaking someone's life, and how my mom used my birth as a reason to live as per her desire. I used to visit Delhi only for you and Naani. That's why I was so happy when you decided to come to Mumbai, even though you came after losing your job. Now you want yo leave me alone and go?"
"No Arjun..." Aditya came to him, while Arjun held Aditya's hand and said him, "Bhai, promise me...you will never ever think of moving away from me...for anyone...anything...and keep in mind...I will always choose you over this world...I will prefer death over a separation with you!"
"Hey!! Idiot!!" Aditya slapped him gently hearing that, as he hugged Arjun emotionally, and Arjun hugged him back.
"I am sorry Arjun...I am really sorry...I am sorry that I hurt you thinking about other's words...I promise...I will never leave you...ever!!"
They broke from their hug, while Arjun said wiping his tears, "The moment I saw the phone broken, I knew something was wrong...I checked the voice mails, and heard mom's voice mail. Immediately I cut the landline number...I will get a new one tomorrow...I don't want anything in this house which upsets you..."
Aditya said, "Arjun, I repeat...don't distance yourself from them for me..."
"And she can plan to distance you from me? Bhai, I know what I am doing. Don't feel pity for them, and leave that topic now."
"Okay!!" Aditya said, while he asked, "By the way, how were you so cool even after I went missing since noon and didn't pick your phone??"
Arjun smiled, "I am a police officer's brother...I have my means to track you...I was checking your phone's location through Find Your Phone...I knew you were roaming in Mumbai only."
Aditya stared at him, "Okay...not bad...you proved you are indeed Aditya Hooda's brother...well...let's have a piece of cake on that note..."
Aditya took a small piece and took it to Arjun's mouth. As Arjun opened his mouth, Aditya rubbed it on his face, and broke into a laughter.
