It was past midnight, and Zoya was tossing and turning in the middle of the bed. She clutched on to her duvet with a troubled face, and recalled her agitated statements to Aditya."Look here Aditya, she is my friend...and she has come for some important work. And, moreover she is staying with me, and hence, she is my responsibility. So, you need not bother about it much or offer any help. I will handle everything...so stay away from her!"
Zoya whined in embarrassment, as she pulled the duvet over her face. She whispered to herself, "What did I even do today? What would have Aditya thought about me...I behaved like an idiot. He just asked a normal question...why did I have to overreact this way? How am I going to face him tomorrow?"
Zoya again turned on bed, and looked at Mahi sleeping on her side. She looked at her and ranted in a low tone, "She only had to look at Aditya or what? Even Arjun was there, yeah? Well...who am I even to say that...she can look at anyone...Allah! I am going mad."
Zoya again tossed to the side, while Pooja who was sleeping on the other side of Zoya, pulled down her duvet and sat upright, shouting, "Zoya!!!"
Zoya sprang up from the bed and looked at her, "What happened? What's wrong?"
Mahi too woke up abruptly, hearing that noise, and looked at Zoya and Pooja with sleepy eyes.
Pooja heaved and looked at Zoya, as she asked, "Zoya, did any ant bite you or such?"
"Ant? No..." Zoya said with a confused face, while she asked, "Why?"
Pooja rolled her eyes, as she said, "Then why are you tossing and turning around since the time we lied down? What's your problem?" Pooja asked, pushing her hair back, "My God! Since hours, you have been moving continuously and murmuring something. What happened to you?"
"Uhhh...actually..." Zoya scratched her head, while she looked at Mahi, who was also wondering what happened to her.
"I was...not sleepy...that's it..." Zoya said in a low tone, while she added, "I won't disturb now. You guys, go to sleep. I am sorry."
"Strange!" Pooja said, as she pulled over her duvet and lied down again, while Mahi asked Zoya, "All okay, Zoya? Is it that...you are uncomfortable with me sleeping here today? If so, I will go and sleep in the living room."
"No no...nothing like that, Mahi." Zoya said with a light smile, "I was just feeling a bit uneasy. I will be alright. You go to sleep."
Mahi nodded and went back to sleep, while Zoya clutched her head and looked at either sides of her. She was being anything but herself for the past few hours. If she continued this way for some more time, she was sure that Pooja would suggest her to go and visit a psychiatrist. She decided to control the upsurge of emotions within her, in order to avoid making things worse. With a bothered look, she lied down in between, and pulled the duvet over her face.

The next morning, Mahi was sitting at one of the benches, outside the apartment, while people were busy exercising and jogging around in the residential complex. She was messaging someone on her phone, while she noticed Aditya approaching her side, as he came jogging that way.
"Hi Aditya!" Mahi greeted him in a louder tone, with a smile, while Aditya too stopped, looking at her, and came near her bench.
"Hey! Good morning!" Aditya said with a smile, "Sorry, I couldn't talk much to you yesterday. So, how are you this morning?"
"Ohh...that's okay. I am doing good. Just thought to get some fresh air. And moreover, your residential locality is so pleasant." Mahi said looking around, while Aditya too added, "Yeah, it's a lovely locality. It's even lively during holidays."
