Chapter 20: Feeling Special

Aditya and Zoya shared an awkward glance after that unexpected and abrupt embrace they shared just some moments back.

"I am...sorry!" Aditya said looking down.

"It's...it's okay." Zoya said, pushing back her hair strands, behind her ear, while she let out a brief smile. She bent down and took her bag which had fallen down. They shared a super awkward moment and didn't know what to speak after that hug.

"Guys!!"

Aditya and Zoya turned at Pooja who was standing by the door of Arjun and Aditya's bedroom. They both found her arrival really helpful at that moment, in order to reduce the awkwardness, they were experiencing after that hug.

"Shall we all go out for dinner? I will ask Arjun to come to the restaurant directly, from college after his practical exams. Naani too will like an outing right. What say?" Pooja asked with a smile.

"Dinner...why not?" Aditya said with a smile, while he looked at Zoya.

"Yeah...no issues..." Zoya too said, looking at Pooja, "I will just finish some office work before that. I will be at home only. Pooja, if you need me, just give me a call. Excuse me!"

Pooja nodded her head, while Zoya excused herself from Aditya and walked out and went to her flat, while Aditya looked on.

Aditya rubbed his chin, and tried to display a normal smile to Pooja and walked out of the house, while he was highly disturbed. Pooja had a smile after they both left, and she walked back to the room, nodding her head.

Aditya opened the Staircase Exit door, and sat at the stairs, while he covered his face with his palms.

What's happening to him? Why is he feeling so embarrassed and awkward? It was just a normal hug. Not that, he hugged a girl for the first time in his life. He has hugged Pooja too, but why is he feeling this strange when he hugged Zoya?

No. It's not about feeling strange. He tried reading through what his heart was saying. He is feeling a bit apprehensive on how would have Zoya taken this gesture of him. Would she have mistaken him? Would she have felt that Aditya took advantage of her friendliness towards him and went a bit overboard because of that? And what if she starts to maintain distance with him after this? He was clearly able to see, that she was totally uncomfortable and disturbed with that hug.

Aditya stood up from the stairs and hit the wall with his fist, with a frustrated look. Why did he hug her after all? He felt angry at himself, while he recalled his Naani visiting him and Pooja mentioning him about his Naani's visit as Zoya's surprise for Aditya.

He had a light smile on his lips as he recalled that. How sweet of her. She planned all this to make him smile and bring happiness to him. He really was running out of words to thank her, and all which he was able to do was express his gratitude for her, through that hug.

But he felt nice doing so. He felt so much at peace while he embraced her in his arms. It was as if he got something, which he was searching for so long. Yes. He found peace and solace while he hugged her.

But she didn't experience the same, did she? He just didn't want Zoya to maintain distance with him because of this. He didn't know why, but he just didn't want that to happen. Maybe he can explain her and even apologize if he made her uncomfortable, while they go out for Pooja's birthday shopping tonight? But will she come with him alone now?

Without getting any clear answer to all his questions, Aditya walked back to his house.
