Chapter 50: Mixed Feelings

Story as of now:

Arjun confesses his feelings to Pooja in the midst of an argument, only for Pooja to reject his feelings for some unknown reason and not willing to take any step further in their relationship, other than her friendship with him, leaving Arjun heartbroken. On the other hand, Zoya reciprocates Aditya's wish to get married to her soon, and they both take their relationship to the next level, uniting in all means. The same night, Arjun gets to know the devastating truth, that the man Aditya killed in that fateful encounter was none other than Zoya's deceased lover, Yash Arora, and in a desperate attempt to save his brother's love, Arjun decides to bury that truth to himself...

"It's time for you to see me as Mrs. Zoya Aditya Hooda!"

Pooja had a wide smile on her face hearing that, while Zoya looked at Pooja with an elated face.

"Zoya! Don't tell me!" Pooja exclaimed and pulled Zoya in a tight embrace. She said in an excited tone, "I just...I..."

Zoya too hugged her back happily, while Pooja retreated from the hug and looked at her.

"Zoya, I just can't explain to you in words, how much this one statement has made my day! Do you know how much I longed to see you as a bride? And that too..." Pooja covered her mouth, as she continued, "And that too, seeing both my best friends getting married to each other...the ones who very much deserved love in their life, after all they have gone through. Zoya, I just feel like crying now!"

Zoya chuckled, as they both hugged again, while Zoya said, "And what else can Aditya and I ask for, when we have such lovely people in our lives, who gets emotional at our happiness, even more than us."

Pooja smiled hearing it, while Zoya said, "So today, on account of it, Aditya and I have decided to treat you and Arjun. So, go and get ready; we will leave to the restaurant in a while. And before that we will go for a walk and some shopping. Sounds like a good plan, right?"

Pooja had a light smile, as she nodded her head slightly. She recalled her conversation with Arjun night before yesterday. She stayed out last day at her cousin's place, wanting some time out and didn't even talk to him since then. She wondered how was her rapport with Arjun going to be thereafter, and what condition is Arjun right now in.

"You have any special dishes today?" Aditya asked, looking at the menu card, as Zoya too looked into it, sitting next to Aditya. They were at a seaside restaurant, along with Arjun and Pooja, for lunch.

Arjun was sitting opposite Aditya, as he looked at both Aditya and Zoya, reading something in the menu card and chuckling to themselves.

"His name is Yash Madhav Arora. And from my sources, I also got to know that he was in love with a girl from Mussorie was about to get married to her the next day. Her name is Zoya Siddiqui, and probably she is the one in the photo, I found from his wallet that night."

Arjun closed his eyes tightly, trying to erase those words from his visual memory. He then turned at Pooja and looked at her sitting there with a lost look.

"I am sorry Arjun. But trust me...you deserve better. You deserve someone better than me. You deserve a life of happiness and love...with a smile on your face always, and I am not the right choice for that. Being good friends is what is better for the both of us...!"
