Approaching the council chamber, Tenzin led Lin, Asami, Bolin, and Mako through City Hall after they all slipped off of Oogi in front of the large building. Stepping closer to the council members, Tenzin gave them all a curt nod before saying, "Thank you all for meeting us on such short notice."

"Chief," Lin said coldly, turning to face Saikhan who was perched next to Tarrlok at the council table.

"Lin," Saikhan responded in the same manner.

"Have you any news of Avatar Korra?" Tarrlok asked as he stepped forward.

"We do," Tenzin started, pointing a finger angrily at the councilman, "You kidnapped her, Tarrlok!"

Tarrlok gasped lightly and took a few steps back. "I am shocked you would accuse me of such an evil act! I already explained: Equalists attacked us and took her!"

"But there were no chi blockers here last night. You planted the evidence, didn't you?" Tenzin countered, his brows narrowing over his eyes.

"That is a ridiculous accusation!" Tarrlok raised his voice and stamped his foot briefly. His nostrils flared and his gare deepened as he caught a glimpse of a figure moving along the balcony above the council chamber.

"It's true! He took her!" The council page that Tarrlok waved off the night before stepped out from behind one of the balcony's pillars earning a deep groan from Tarrlok. "I was here when Avatar Korra arrived last night, but Councilman Tarrlok ordered me to leave. I was on my way out when I saw Tarrlok bring her down to the garage."

"That is nonsense! Everyone knows you're nothing but a squeaky-voiced liar!" Tarrlok fumed.

Folding her arms across her chest, Lin said, "Why did you wait until now to 'fess up?"

"I was terrified to tell because..." the council page trailed off, "because Tarrlok is a bloodbender! I saw him bloodbend Avatar Korra!" Everyone turned to Tarrlok in shock, their bodies sliding instantly into fighting stances as Tarrlok stared each of them down.

"Don't make this worse for yourself. Tell us where you have Korra," Tenzin demanded, raising his fingers in front of his face. Lin and Tenzin both threw their arms forward, wind and metal surging at Tarrlok before limply falling to the ground as the councilman grabbed a hold of them. Tarrlok twisted his hands and brought everyone in the room to their knees as he bent their blood, their cries of pain fading out as he pulled everyone from consciousness. Once he let go of them all and watched them fall to the floor without moving, Tarrlok quickly backed up and hauled himself out of the council room before they could wake up.

A little while later, Lin shot up and looked around wildly, shifting over to Tenzin. "Wake up!" she said. Hearing no response, Lin slapped Tenzin right across the face, waking him up very easily. Asami woke up on her own while Lin backhanded Tenzin and slowly helped Mako and Bolin to their feet as they all clutched their sore bodies.

"Ughh! Man! I had this awful dream that Korra was taken by this evil bloodbender. So weird," Bolin yawned as he stretched his arms upward.

"Bolin, that really happened. He knocked us out," Asami said, shaking her head as she tilted the tip of her shoulder away from Mako's hand that attempted to rest on it.

Bolin looked around and scratched his head. "Are you serious? Where is he? Is he here right now?"

"Tarrlok is long gone," Saikhan said, "I'll alert the whole force." He gave a curt nod to Tenzin and Lin before walking out of the council chambers with the left behind council members in tow.

"We've only been out for a little while. Maybe we can still pick up Tarrlok's trail," Lin suggested.

"It could lead us to Korra! Let's go," Tenzin called as he waved everyone after him.
