THIS JUST IN:
Korra and Mako have discovered the truth about Amon's identity! He's a waterbender, a bloodbender, and a brother to Tarrlok! Now, Korra and Mako plan to infiltrate the Equalists' victory rally and expose Amon as a fraud. Meanwhile, Asami, Bolin, and General Iroh head toward Hisoshi's secret airfield where Asami intends to take down her father.
Riding into the base of the mountains near Republic City, Asami craned her neck as she watched biplanes fly past them. She folded her hands over Naga's reigns and stalled Naga's movements, turning back to face Iroh and Bolin. Snow poured over them and they all shuddered in response.
"You guys doing okay back there?" Asami asked. Bolin and Iroh nod back, Iroh's attention shifting to the airfield that began peeking out from the trees in front of them.
"I think we've found our secret airfield," he said. Iroh turned to Bolin. "Once we get down there, I need you to tear up those runways. We can't let those aircraft take off."
Bolin saluted. "Aye aye, captain!" He slid off of Naga and winced. "Wait-general. Aye aye, general." Bolin brought his hand to his head again as Iroh chuckled and jumped off of Naga.
"Captain is fine, Bolin." Bolin smiled back at Iroh and reached out his hand to grab a bag that Asami handed down to him. Asami got off of Naga and gave her a pat on her head, walking down the path with Iroh and Bolin in tow.
Naga whined as they all walked off, and Bolin pouted, turning back to Naga while saying, "Alright, you guys wait here until we get back, okay? Uh-uh, stay." Bolin pointed at Naga as he backed away, her paw slowly falling from its raised state. "Stay. And watch Pabu." Pabu scurried up to Naga's head and chittered. Bolin waved to them both, and Naga laid down on the ground as Asami, Iroh, and Bolin moved further down the path to the airfield.
"Why would there be fence posts but no fence?" Asami tilted her head as they came upon the outside boundaries of the airfield just below the hill they stopped on. She looked at Bolin who just shrugged and kept walking, Iroh and Asami following him. As they stepped into the middle of two fence posts, they cried out as electricity shot at them from either side. They collapsed into the snowy, tall grass, and were left unconscious as the electricity faded from view.
Korra and Mako stood side-by-side on a balcony above the loud Equalist rally being held within the Pro-bending Arena. They straightened their Equalist disguises and clasped their hands behind their backs, ready to go at Amon once he rose to the stage.
"Thank you all for joining me on this historic occasion!" Amon brightly said, facing the cheering crowd before him. "When I was a boy, a waterbender struck down my entire family and left me scarred. That tragic event began my quest to equalize the world."
Korra and Mako removed their masks and leaned over the balcony's railing. Korra shouted, "Amon has been lying to you. The spirits didn't give him the power to take people's bending away. He uses bloodbending to do it. Amon is a waterbender!" The crowd gasped and turned to Amon.
"What is this nonsense?" the Lieutenant asked him.
Amon ignored him. "You're desperate, Avatar. Making up stories about me is a pathetic last resort."
