Only the Avatar can master all four elements and bring balance to the world

THIS JUST IN:

Is there any place safe for the Avatar? First, after a turbulent attack on Sato Industrial by mysterious party crashers, President Raiko banished Korra from Republic City. Then, the Earth Queen declared her an enemy of the Earth Kingdom after she rescued a group of airbenders in Ba Sing Se. And Korra has now learned that Zaheer and his fellow criminals are after her. With Tenzin busy bringing the new airbender recruits to the Northern Air Temple, Korra's protection rests in Beifong's hands.

"Lemaya! Stop throwing it so far! She's going to get distracted and start hunting for fish and then we're never going to get her back on the ship." Korra huffed and placed her hands on her hips as Lemaya's hand retreated from the air just as the ball she was throwing to Naga flew dangerously close to the icy sea of the western Earth Kingdom.

But before it could plunge into the blue waters, Naga leaped into the sky and caught the ball mid-air, a grin stretching over her mouth as she squeezed the ball happily between her canines. "See?" Lemaya shook her head with a laugh and ran over to Naga. She rubbed her ears lovingly then turned Naga's head toward Korra, pressing their faces together cutely as she said. "She's fine. Aren't you, girl?"

Nuzzling her nose in Naga's fur, Lemaya began tickling her sides, the ball rolling from Naga's mouth as she dropped to the grass as giddy barks echoed across the field. Korra's scowl deepened.

"Come on, Kor. Are you really mad at us?" Lemaya pouted her lips and wiggled Naga's ears as if Naga was the one saying that to her.

Korra tried to stand her ground, but in the face of that voice, she couldn't help but crack a small smile. "Stop that. This is serious, Lemaya." Raising her brows, Lemaya rose her head a tad and let out a gentle sigh.

"What happened to Fun Korra?" Playfully rolling her eyes, Korra crossed the field over to Lemaya and Naga, scooping up the toy ball Naga had discarded a moment before. The second the ball left the ground, Naga's head perked up and she was on her feet, ready to play catch yet again.

Korra chuckled and wound her hand back, chucking the ball all the way back toward the airship. Naga bounded after the ball, not a care in the world, especially over the hurt look pulling at Lemaya's face. "What? Naga! Korra, why'd you do that?" Lemaya narrowed her eyes at her girlfriend. She couldn't believe the betrayal.

"Because apparently, Fun Korra isn't here anymore."

Korra reached out her hand to help Lemaya up, but it took a few seconds for Lemaya to relent and accept the gesture. "I need to do something about that," she murmured, her thumb grazing softly over Korra's knuckles. "What do you think I should do about that?"

Korra's lips quirked up teasingly as she swung their hands between them. "Hmm. Maybe not endanger by polar bear-dog?" Korra pinched her hand lovingly as Lemaya giggled, her eyes moving over to watch Naga as she kept picking up and dropping her ball at Lin's feet.

Lin, just wanting to go yell at Korra and Lemaya, kept scooting away from Naga but to no avail as she continued to trail after her the entire way across the field. "I don't think I'll be the one endangering her," Lemaya whispered into Korra's ear as Lin's metallic stomps finally sounded over the soft grass.
