The ship docked in a secluded part of the South, and Korra and Lemaya raced off the ship on Naga as everyone else trailed above them on top of Oogi. They managed to hide behind a couple of inconspicuous clouds and snowstorms, and successfully landed in the compound Korra used to train in. The walls were reinforced with new ice layers and only a few inexperienced waterbenders remained to protect the civilians guarded inside.

Korra whipped her head around the camp, recognizing her mother's form immediately in the crowd. Korra jumped off Naga once she guided her to a halt, rushing to hug her mother once she finished helping an injured soldier into one of the many healing huts scattered around.

"Mom!" Korra breathed. Senna smiled wide, melting into her daughter's hug as they tightly gripped onto one another.

"I'm so happy you're here," Senna sighed. Korra nodded, but words quickly fumbled out of her mouth once she couldn't find her father.

"Where's Dad?"

"Unalaq injured the entire Southern Resistances. And he captured your father."

Korra's face scrunched up and her chest heaved wildly. "Well, we need to get him back." Senna tried to reach for her daughter's hands, to assure her, but Tenzin spoke up before she could.

"Where is my mother?" he asked. Jinora was held firmly in his arms, the rest of his family not far behind. Senna pointed to the healing hut to her right and Tenzin rushed inside, everyone else joining him besides Lemaya and Mako who stayed back to get Naga and Oogi safely put away somewhere comfortable.

When they entered, Katara noticed them straight away. She flew to them past a handful of cots all teeming with injured rebels and healers patiently flowing water over them. "What happened?"

"Her soul is trapped in the Spirit World," Teznin explained. Katara gasped and hurriedly ushered them out of the hut and into an unused one behind it, instructing Tenzin to lay Jinora gently down onto the singular cot in the center of the room.

"How long has her soul been trapped?" Katara asked while her hands got caught in a flurry of movements about the hut's cabinets and drawers.

"Almost a week," Kya murmured, jumping in to help her mother once she recognized all she was looking for, "I've tried to keep her energy flowing, but I can feel her slipping away. You're the only one who can help her now, Mom."

Katara hummed and sent Bumi to fetch a healing tub. Then, she pushed Korra, Bolin, and Asami out of the hut to give Tenzin's family room to breathe.

Pema held Jinora close to her chest as Ikki and Meelo helped Katara gather enough water to fill the tub Bumi brought back into the hut. After it became fully, Pema gently raised JInora up and over the tub's rim, carefully setting her down into the warm waters as Katara began letting the water glow yellow.

"How much longer can she survive like this?" Pema asked wearily, clutching onto Tenzin as she looked down over the tub.

Kya kneeled next to her mother, reaching out her hands to help her as Ikki and Meelo joined Bumi in a hug on the other side of the tub. "I don't know," Katara said, "But she is very strong to have lasted this long."

Tenzin pried open the fabric around the entrance of the hut, bracing himself to the chilly winter air as he joined Korra, Bolin, and Asami outside. Lemaya and Mako jogged toward them, their breaths warm front the trek over from the stables. Lemaya said, "I talked to a couple of the civilians helping out with the animals. They said Unalaq has the Southern portal surrounded."

Korra hummed, "And Harmonic Convergence is only a few hours away. How are we going to manage all of that?"

"Then we have to break through their defenses ourselves and get to the portal. Now."
