Song for the chapter: Haunt // Bed by The 1975

I hadn't thought about Luke in a few days, I didn't feel sad. I almost felt like myself again.

I was doing better in school than I had been in the last few months, getting my grades back on track. Graduation wasn't that far away and I couldn't wait to be done. The effects of senioritis were kicking in, but I had to do my best in order to graduate with the diploma that I wanted. I had been recieving acceptance letters to many universities, and I was glad that I had many options since I still didn't know where I wanted to go. I still had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I hadn't talked to any of the boys lately like I did when they first left and I missed them dearly. I knew they were too busy for me, but I understood. Sometimes I still had a bad habit of turning around in my seat to talk to one of them, but I find empty desks instead. I hadn't watched any of their performances yet and I felt like a terrible friend, but I knew I would be able to soon.

Nathan and I had been on a couple of dates, but we weren't officially boyfriend and girlfriend yet. He treated me good regardless, and that's exactly what I needed right now. I deserved someone who would be good to me, and he was exactly that.  You could say I was content.

It was a Wednesday night and Nathan had just left my house after eating a delicious dinner made by my mom. I put the vase full of roses that he got me on my desk and the wonderful scent permeated through my room. My phone rings from my bed and I find myself running to get it, hoping that it is Nathan. I am not disappointed, but surprised when I see Linley's name and a picture of us on the screen.

"Hey babe," I say when I answer.

"Whatcha doin'?" She asks.

"Nothing, Nathan just left so I'm just sitting in my room talking to you. Why what's up?" I ask back.

"I'm almost to your house, come get the door," she says quickly before hanging up the phone. I laugh to myself and throw the phone back onto my bed before running downstairs to let her in.

When I open it, she is already standing there. "Hey," she smiles. "Let's go up to your room?"

"That's fine," I say. She says hi to my mother, Bradley and Troy before we go upstairs.

"Oh my gosh, Allis! Those are beautiful," she exclaims when we walk into my room.

"I know, Nathan just brought them over for no reason," I say with a smile. "So what's up?" I ask as she flops down onto my bed.

"Well I was talking to Michael just a little bit ago. He misses you a lot by the way," she says.

"Awh," I pout my lip out. "I miss him so much. I haven't talked to them in a while, how are they doing?"

"Good, I actually came over here to talk to you about them..." She trails off.

"Okay..." I say with a small smile. "What about them?"

"Don't freak out when I tell you this, okay?" She says slowly as she gets off of my bed and makes her way over to me.

"Well now I'm going to freak out because you told me not to and you're being weird," I attempt to laugh.

"They may or may not be sending us tickets," she says and I don't want to believe it. This had to be some sort of joke. She pauses before she speaks and I try to determine if this a dream or real life. Her next words answer the question for me.

"They have two shows here next weekend."
