"So are you excited about going?" Louis asks as he folds an old t-shirt of mine.

We have a nice little process going on: I pick the clothes I want to take, give them to him and he folds them and puts them in my suitcase. I'm trying to take as little stuff that I can, but choosing isn't going so well. If I am having trouble, I can't even imagine how hard of a time Linley is going to have.

"I'm really excited, I've always wanted to travel the world. And now I won't have to miss L-...You guys anymore," I correct myself. I tried to avoid talking about Luke as much as I can in front of Louis. I know that it probably makes him feel bad and awkward.

"It'll definitely be an interesting time," he says with a small smile. "It gets kind of rough being away from your family and friends, but you learn to get used to it eventually."

"Yeah it's going to be rough on me and my mom for sure, but I was going to go off to college anyway so it's not too much different. Do you ever see your mom?" I ask him.

"Yeah, more than Troy definitely. I go home to see her as much as I can and anytime that we are in England we will see each other. She comes to a lot of our shows too. As do my other sisters."

"You have more sisters?" I ask.

"Yep, five of 'em besides Georgia. And one brother," he answers. This was all news to me.

"Wow, that's crazy. I had no idea." I pause and debate on asking the one question I've always wanted to know about him. "What happened between you and Troy that made you hate him so much?"

He sighs and I feel like I shouldn't have brought it up. Why did I always have to be so nosey? "Basically," he begins, "he walked out on us when I was pretty young. He ran off, got married to someone else, and had Georgia. He did the same thing to her and her mother as well. Long story short, he came back and tried to be a part of our lives. I will have nothing to do with him; Georgia on the other hand, has been more forgiving."

"I'm sorry. That's kind of how things happened with my family too so I somewhat know how you feel," I say as I walk towards him. "It really sucks, doesn't it?" I ask.

"Yeah, it does," he whispers. "But if Troy wouldn't have met your mom, I wouldn't have met you." Before I can say anything, he takes me in his arms and holds me tight.

As I stand in his warm embrace, many thoughts rush through my head. If we wouldn't have met, Luke wouldn't be famous. I can't tell if that would be a better or worse thing; on one hand I would get to see him more, but on the other he wouldn't be happy. I would never want that. I also can't help but think about the fact that Troy left two families. What if he left our's? I don't want my mother to get hurt again and just when I began to start trusting Troy, I must question my trust once again.

"Allis?" I hear a voice say, breaking me away from the possibilities running through my mind. I remove myself from Louis' arms to find Luke standing in the doorway.

"Hey babe," I say as I walk to greet him. "We were talking about our fathers and it was just kind of emotional."

He wraps me tightly in his arms when I reach him and exhales his warm breath onto my hair. "I understand. How's packing going?" He asks with a giggle.

"It's going, maybe not so well," I laugh. "What's going on at Michael's?" I ask him.

"Everything is set up and he's taking her out to dinner right now. We're gonna go back over there when he texts me that they're on their way home. Until then I was thinking we could take a nap?" He asks.

"That sounds great, I'm exhausted." I look over to Louis who is standing by my bed.

"Guess that's my cue to leave then," he says somewhat sadly. He walks towards the door and I follow.

"I'll be right back babe," I say to Luke as I walk out the door. He nods and falls onto my bed that is still covered in clothes.

I shut the door behind me and stop Louis before he can get to his room. "Sorry our quality packing time had to be cut short," I say with a small chuckle. "But thank you for helping me, I really appreciate it."

"Of course Allis, I'll see you later."

Before he can turn away from me, I squeeze him tight in a small embrace. "See you later Lou."

We turn away from each other and I walk back into my room before shutting and locking the door. I take the piles of clothes along with the suitcases and set them down onto the floor nicely; I didn't need to deal with a messy room right before I left. I crawl into bed and underneath the covers that Luke is holding up for me.

"Why are you so tired?" I ask as he pulls me close to him.

"I'm not, I just wanted to be close to you," he says with a smile and I can't help but get the familiar feeling of butterflies in my stomach.

"You're so cute," I whisper and kiss him on the nose. "But I am tired, so I'm sorry if I fall asleep."

"Go ahead and sleep baby, I'll stay up and wait for Michael. I'll wake you up when it's time," he says as he pulls me even closer and kisses the top of my head. "I love you."

"I love you Luke." Soon enough, I fall asleep surrounded by warmth and the beautiful sound of him humming a soft melody.
