Needing Him

"Tubbo!" I screamed into the rain, "Tubbo!" I had no idea where I was, and it didn't help that I was soaked by the storm. I pulled my damp hood over my head and continued calling loudly into the forest. I was still in shock by what happened, but I had no time to contemplate it at the moment. I needed to find Tubbo.

"Tubbo! Tubbo, where are you?" I called out again. I was met by silence, hearing nothing but the sound of raindrops hitting the ground.

"What are you doing out here? Why are you calling for Tubbo?" someone asked me from behind. I turned around and saw Tommy standing there.

"Tommy, where's Tubbo?" I asked him desperately, "Is he okay?"

"He's fine. He respawned and we brought him back to Pogtopia," Tommy said coldly, "Why do you care? Wasn't it you who told Schlatt in the first place?" I shook my head, surprised by his accusation.

"I didn't! Schlatt eavesdropped on our conversation, Tommy!" I exclaimed, "I would never betray Tubbo's trust. Tommy, please, I can't— I need Tubbo, I don't —just, please..." I took a step backwards and leaned against a nearby tree. I slid down to the ground, pulling my knees into my chest.

"(Y/n)? Are you okay?" Tommy asked hesitantly. I shook my head, tears falling down my face. I couldn't breath, I couldn't think. The world was spinning around me.

"Tommy—" I said quietly, "Tommy, Schlatt kicked me out. He hates me, Tommy. I argued with him after Techno killed Tubbo, and— and he told me to get out of his country. He told me to leave." Tommy's expression softened slightly.

"Hello? Tommy, who are you talking to?" a voice called out. Tubbo appeared out of the rain, gasping when he saw the two of us.

"Tubbo, I don't think (Y/n) is okay right now," Tommy told him, "I found her out here, she was yelling your name. Then she started breaking down and mumbling about how Schlatt kicked her out of Manberg." Tubbo bit his lip and ran over to me, kneeling down at my side.

"(Y/n), it's okay, I'm right here," he whispered, "What happened? Can you tell me?" Tubbo sat down and wrapped his arms around me.

"Tubbo, he hates me," I stuttered, shaking my head, "Schlatt hates me, Tubbo. He kicked me out of Manberg —he said— Tubbo, he said he shouldn't have saved me all those years ago." Tubbo let out a long breath and tightened his embrace.

"He doesn't mean it, (Y/n)," he assured me, "Schlatt was probably just angry. If the two of you talk it out, I bet he'll apologize for saying that."

"Tubbo, you don't understand!" I exclaimed, "I know Schlatt better than anyone. And the way he said that? He meant it. He kicked me out of Manberg, Tubbo, I can't go back. My brother hates me..." Tubbo and Tommy shared a look with each other.

"It's all going to be okay, (Y/n)," Tubbo whispered, "I'm right here for you. How about this? Let's all get out of the rain and go back to Pogtopia. We can talk about it there. Everything will turn out fine, I promise." I leaned my head against Tubbo's chest, comforted by his warmth.

"Okay," I mumbled. I wiped my eyes with the palm of my hand and pulled myself to my feet. Tubbo held my hand tight as we began walking towards Pogtopia.

We walked through the forest until Tubbo and Tommy paused by the side of the hill.  Pulling at the stone, Tommy revealed a secret passageway that led into a small room. I followed them inside, happy to be out of the rain.

At the back of the room was a small staircase, which led into Pogtopia. The underground cave was lit by lanterns, casting an eerie glow around us. I tightened my grip on Tubbo's hand as we reached the bottom of the stairs.
