"We can't keep this up for much longer, where the fuck is Dream?" Big Q said nervously.

"Puffy already caught Fundy and they're chilling with food at the moment," I paced along the bottom of the stage, "What should we do after they get bored of that? We don't have anything else planned. We should have speeches next but he's not here yet."

Tubbo was leaning against the wood. He took a deep breath when I looked over at him. "I'm at a loss right now. He should have been here by now."

"But he's not," Big Q fumed, "and what are we supposed to do without him? Tubbo—he's probably done this on purpose to us! He promises that he'll come and then doesn't show up. He's making a fool out of our nation!"

"Listen, okay?" Fundy pinched between his eyes and held up a hand, "we spent too long on this. We can't just give up. We need to send someone to look for him. (Y/n)?"

"Of course it's fucking me." I narrowed my eyes at e foxman. He lulled his head to the side and gave me a look. I sighed and crossed my arms.

"Don't blame me if there's a coup while I'm gone," I muttered under my breath. Big Q held back a laugh while Tubbo snorted in amusement. The President tossed my sword to me, which had been propped against the stage beside him.

"Just take a circle in the area," Tubbo instructed, "no need to go too far. If Dream's coming at all, he should be close by now. If you don't find him...well, we can decide things from there."

"If you don't find him, then we simply tell them that Dream just didn't show up. And then we just continue with the festival as if it was just a minor inconvenience." Big Q looked over at the group of festival attendees with a nervous eye.

"We better start thinking of a couple more events, then," Fundy added, "I could try to set up a thing or two if you want, Tubbo?"

"Just wait a bit." The brunet wiped the palms of his hands along the pants of his suit. Then, he looked towards me and gave a curt nod to the side. I nodded and turned away from the group, walking off the stage and toward the border.

I had barely taken a couple steps when something caught my eye up ahead. A figure walking down the path near the border. The person was wearing enchanted netherite armor, but I could still see his green hoodie beneath the chestplate. I did a double take, unsure if it was actually him, before turning back towards the others.

None of them had noticed. They were still talking among themselves. "Uh, guys—"

Tubbo looked over at me first. His eyes had barely just met mine when their gaze suddenly shifted to focus on something else—Dream. His lips parted in surprise before an obvious look of relief appeared on his face.

"Oh, fucking finally!" He exclaimed loudly. Big Q and Fundy stopped talking and looked over at where the brunet was pointing. The foxman's ears perked up and Big Q quickly stood upright.

We began walking towards Dream. He seemed to have not noticed us yet, as he hadn't looked in our direction. He paused suddenly, next to the remains of what used to be the wall that surrounded our nation. It was only two blocks high now, and I had almost forgotten that it was there.

I suppose that was because I had gotten used to its existence, and it didn't cause much of a problem to me anymore.

However, blocks appeared in Dream's hand and the masked man began placing obsidian blocks on the wall.

"Hey, what the fuck!" Big Q shouted in surprise, "what are you doing? Dream!" He took off running towards the wall.

"Shit," Tubbo muttered beside me as we ran after him. When we were standing right beside the wall, Dream looked down at us from the top. He had an obsidian block in his hand and was blankly looking at us without a word.

"What are you doing, Dream?" Tubbo finally asked, "why are you building up the wall? This festival is about our peace! We agreed on no armor!"

The masked man laughed coldly. The sound of it sent a shiver running down my spine. He slipped the blocks away and jumped down from the wall, landing on the dirt path with a thump. He walked up to Tubbo, stopping only when the two were right across from each other.

"Sure, it's about peace," Dream stated, "peace between the Dream Smp and L'Manburg, right? It's not that easy, Tubbo. A little festival wasn't going to fox anything. I don't know why I ever agreed."

Tubbo's breath caught in his chest. I could almost hear the thoughts streaming through his head. Did Dream know about the assasination? Did he figure out the true reason behind the festival? I tightened my hands into fists at my sides.

"Wha—what do you mean?" The President asked, in the calmest voice he could muster.

Dream's head cocked to the side. "Really? You don't know? You would think that he would tell you."

"Did something happen?" I questioned, stepping up to Tubbo's side, "Dream, we've been preoccupied with the festival recently. No need to talk in riddles."

I could sense a change in emotion from Dream. He seemed to stand up straighter at my words, and for a moment I thought he might lash out at me. Yet, instead, he simply crossed his arms and spoke in a flatter tone.

"Someone blew up the Community House."

My jaw dropped. "Like, that building in the middle of the lake? That thing?"

I could imagine Dream rolling his eyes. "Yes, that Community House, (Y/n)."

"It's gone?" Fundy asked quietly. Big Q had a blank expression on his face, while Tubbo stood there in shock. I couldn't read his expression.

"You can come see for yourselves," the masked man said, his voice clearly filled with anger, "all that's left is a couple scraps of debris. It's an absolute fucking mess."

Dream didn't swear often. That's when you knew he was really mad.

Tubbo pursed his lips for a moment and swallowed the lump in his throat. "Show me," he said. The masked man gave a curt nod and started walking back towards the lake. When it came into view, all of us were speechless.

Where the Community House used to be was gone. All that was left was a waterfall-like structure surrounding the debris. Dream and Tubbo went inside, and stood at the top next to Big Q. The beanie man glanced over at me, not saying a word, but his silence spoke volumes.

"I...I have no idea how this happened," Tubbo said, "honestly, Dream. When did this happen?"

"It was like this when I came by today on the way to the festival," Dream replied slowly, his voice low, "I think it should be obvious about who's responsible for it. Isn't that right, Tubbo?"

The brunet's face paled. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Is that so?" Dream stepped closer to Tubbo. The white mask was only inches away from the boy's face. "Maybe I was mistaken then."

Tubbo didn't respond. The masked man chuckled lightly, as if he was laughing at his own joke. He turned around and took two steps away from the President before flipping back around. Tubbo had not moved an inch. His feet seemed bolted to the wooden planks in the floor as he stared blankly at the figure of the masked man.

I felt a hand on my arm and looked over to see Big Q looking at me in concern. He silently motioned downwards, so I followed his eyes and looked at my hand. I had unconsciously tightened it into a fist, digging my nails into my skin, and there were drops of blood trailing along my fingers.

I loosened my fingers and let my hand fall limply at my side. I didn't say anything to Big Q, but he gave me an emotionless smile before looking back down at the scene below us.

"Maybe I was mistaken," Dream repeated, looking intently at Tubbo again, "I thought it was obvious that this was Tommy's doing."
