I raised my hand to knock on Tubbo's door, but paused. I was Schlatt's little sister, after all, and my brother had just exiled Tubbo's best friend. Should I talk to him? He might be reluctant, but I truly wanted to make sure he was fine. I finally decided to speak with him, so I lowered my hand and quickly knocked three times on the wooden door.
I heard the shuffling of feet as someone approached the front entrance, and the door swung open, with Tubbo standing behind it. I watched as a flash of fear crossed his eyes when he looked at me.
"Hi Tubbo," I said, "I thought I would just stop by and make sure you were okay, since Schlatt just kicked out your friends and everything. I tried asking him to resign earlier, but he refused. I didn't have any idea that he was going to exile Tommy and Wilbur."
"Erm, yeah," Tubbo replied awkwardly, "I'm fine, I guess." I let out a long breath and rubbed my arm.
"Tubbo, I'm sorry. I'll just leave," I told him, biting my lip, "Schlatt's my brother, and he hasn't been very nice to any of you. It's a bit uncomfortable for the both of us. I'm sorry." Tubbo's expression softened, and he shook his head.
"No, no, don't go. I don't blame you at all, (Y/n). What Schlatt has done isn't your fault, you can't control him," Tubbo said, "It helps me forget about everything when someone talks to me. Want to come inside?" I nodded, and Tubbo stepped out of the doorway. I followed him to a small table, where two chairs were present. He sat down in one and I sat in the other.
"So, what's it like? Having Schlatt as a brother?" Tubbo asked me.
"It takes a lot of effort," I admitted, laughing a bit, "I try my best to keep him in line. Everywhere we go, he almost seems to be a magnet for trouble. I still care for him, though, since he is my brother."
"I can understand that. Tommy and I might not be actual brothers, but sometimes I like to pretend that we are," Tubbo told me, smiling, "Tommy can be a handful sometimes as well. He's naturally loud and obnoxious, as you probably know by now." I nodded, but I could tell Tubbo's mind was on something else.
"You're worried about Tommy, aren't you?" I asked, "I can only imagine how scared you must be. He's your best friend, and you probably care a ton about him."
"Yeah, I am," Tubbo sighed, "I just can't stand that I'm stuck here in L'Manberg while he's hiding with Wilbur somewhere. He's on his final life, you know, and I don't want anything to happen to him."
"He is? How did he lose his first two?" I questioned.
"The first was from when Eret betrayed us in the Final Control Room. I lost a life there as well. The second was during a bow duel with Dream, which Tommy lost. Now, he's on his final life, while I'm on my second," Tubbo said sadly, "What about you, (Y/n)? Have you lost any of your lives?" I hesitated for a second, dropping my gaze to the floor.
"I'm on my second life, too," I replied quietly. I felt Tubbo's expression shift, though I wasn't looking at him.
"I'm sorry, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to," he told me. I looked up and gave him a small smile, shaking my head.
"No, I think I'll tell you. It's a bit of a story, though, and no one else knows other than Schlatt," I said, "It happened many years ago, when I was just a kid. You see, my mother lost her final life while giving birth to me, and my father blamed me for her death. He hated me. Schlatt tried his best to keep me safe, but my father was always pushing me around and yelling at me. Then, one day, when I was three or four, he took me into the nether. Schlatt wasn't home and had no idea what was going on. My father was heavily drunk at the time, and he started ranting about how I needed to pay for causing his wife's death. Before I even understood what was going on, he shoved me off a ledge." Tubbo watched me with wide eyes.
"I've never forgotten that feeling," I continued, "The searing pain of the lava engulfing me and the blackness that followed. I remember looking up and seeing the cold expression on his face as he watched from the edge. It was far worse than anything I could possibly imagine. Later, I respawned in my bed again. I remember hearing Schlatt and my father arguing outside the door. From what I picked up, my father apparently wanted to kill me until I was dead." Tubbo still stared at me, in shock.
"Somehow —and I can't exactly recall how— Schlatt and I ran away from home. Over time, my fighting skills improved faster than his own, and I was tasked with protecting the two of us," I told him, "Schlatt may have done some bad deeds, and he may have made some stupid decisions, but I still love him and support him because he saved me. He saved me, and I will always be thankful for that." I looked up at Tubbo, who blinked and sat in silence.
"Wow," Tubbo finally said, breathlessly, "That is quite the incredible story. It must have been terrible to live through that."
"I'm sorry, I kind of dropped all that on you," I apologized, but he shook his head.
"It's fine. I actually found it quite interesting. For most of us, I'm sure you can understand that it's hard to see Schlatt as anyone but the villain. After hearing your story, I can see Schlatt from a whole new point of view," he told me.
"He's made his fair share of mistakes, and sometimes his choices aren't exactly admirable, but I still care for him," I added, "I should probably go now. I've been gone for awhile, and Schlatt might be wondering where I am."
"Okay. Goodbye," Tubbo said. He stood up and opened the front door for me, and I nodded my thanks before stepping through.
"Oh, wait, Tubbo," I said, turning around, "I almost forgot to tell you. I know Schlatt isn't very nice to you, but I think you're safer here than with Wilbur and Tommy. Try your best to keep on his good side, and I'll try my best to keep him off your back. Okay?" He nodded and smiled gratefully at me.
"Thank you, (Y/n)," he whispered. I smiled in return before leaving. I quickly made my way back to the White House and slipped through the back entrance. The living room was empty, so I walked quietly over to Schlatt's office and poked my head through, finding my brother asleep with his head laying on the desk.
I smiled to myself and left him alone. He must have been tired from today's events, and the other two must have left already. I walked over to my new bedroom and sat down on the bed, falling asleep before I knew it.

A/n - Angsty fluff chapter?? Don't really know, tbh. (Y/n) kind of feels bad for what Tubbo is going through and is trying to help him, but she also feels safe around him, which is why she told him about her past. Also thank you for the 100 reads!! :D
Have a nice day/night, take care of yourselves!! :)
