The next morning, Schlatt told me that he didn't have anything important planned, so I could spend the day having fun. I left the White House as soon as I finished breakfast and hurried over to Tubbo's house, knocking loudly on his door.

"Oh, hi (Y/n)!" Tubbo said, smiling, "I didn't think I'd see you here this early."

"We've got a day off today!" I exclaimed happily, "Schlatt said he doesn't have anything important going on, so I thought I might spend the day with you. What do you think, Tubbo?"

"That sounds great! Give me a minute, I'll be right back," Tubbo said, disappearing into his house. When he came back, there was a small backpack hanging off his shoulder.

"What's in there?" I asked him.

"Nothing that important, just some snacks and stuff," he told me, shrugging, "Come with me, I want to show you my favorite place!" He grabbed my hand and pulled me down the path, traveling out of Manberg and into the forest.

"Where are we going?" I asked him with a laugh, but Tubbo ignored me, dragging me deeper and deeper into the woods that surrounded our nation. A couple minutes later, he slowed to a stop. We were in a small field dotted with flowers.

"Here we are!" Tubbo said excitedly. He pulled a blanket out of his backpack and set it out in the grass. He sat down and patted the spot next to him with his hand.

"This is really nice, actually," I admitted, sitting down next to him. I picked a small, blue flower from the ground next to me and twisted it between my fingers.

"I love coming here when I need a break from the world," Tubbo sighed, laying down, "It's so peaceful and calm, and I thought you might like it, too." I nodded understandingly, picking another flower. It was bright yellow, like the sun.

I gently set it on Tubbo's chest, and he smiled, holding it in his hands. We sat there in silence for a few minutes, enjoying the calmness. It was a nice change from the constant stress back in Manberg.

"Oh! Look, a bee!" Tubbo exclaimed, sitting upright. He stood up and followed the small, yellow-and-black striped insect over to a hive in a nearby tree. Tubbo sat down next to the beehive, watching the tiny things fly in and out of it.

"Seems like you have a thing for bees," I joked, walking over to him. He nodded his head eagerly, squealing like a child when one of them landed on his hand.

"(Y/n)! Look! The bee's on my hand!" Tubbo whispered, smiling brightly. I laughed and sat down next to him, leaning my head against his shoulder.

"This is lovely," I sighed, closing my eyes, "I haven't relaxed like this in a long time." I could feel Tubbo nodding his head in agreement from next to me. We spent the rest of the morning there, heading back to town in the afternoon.

"I'll be back later tonight, I want to surprise you with something," I told Tubbo. He gave me a surprised but confused look, nodding his head. I jogged back over to the White House, bursting into Schlatt office.

"Ah! Fuck, (Y/n), you almost gave me a heart attack!" Schlatt exclaimed, falling out of his chair. I started laughing really hard, but Schlatt rolled his eyes, stood up, and sat back down at his desk.

"Sorry, I just needed to borrow some scissors," I explained. He raised his eyebrow at me, but handed me a pair from a drawer on his desk. I quickly bounded up the stairs to my bedroom and pulled out some spare pieces of cloth.

For the rest of the afternoon, I worked on my little gift for Tubbo. It was quite late by the time I was done, but I carefully sneaked out the back door of the White House. I held Tubbo's gift inside my pocket, knowing that he would like it.

I knocked on his front door when I arrived, and Tubbo opened it, smiling excitedly when he saw me at the door.

"I made this for you," I told him, holding out my hand. In my palm was his gift. It was a bee patch made out of random pieces of yellow and black cloth, and I had sewn it together myself. His eyes widened as he looked at it, and he gently took it from my hand.

"Wow," he said, smiling brightly, "This is so cool! Thank you, (Y/n)!" He gave me a quick hug, which I happily returned. I pulled a needle and thread from my pocket as well, holding it up for him to see.

"If you want, I can sew the patch onto your hoodie," I offered. Tubbo nodded eagerly, handing it to me. I held the patch against the front pocket of his hoodie, sewing it in place with my other hand. When I finished, Tubbo looked as if he would explode from joy.

"It's so cute!" he laughed, "And it looks amazing there, I love it! Thanks, (Y/n)! This is now my favorite hoodie."

"I'm glad you like it, but I have to go back to the White House now," I said with a smile, "I sneaked out in order to give this to you, so I should probably get back before Schlatt realizes I've been gone."

"Oh, okay. Goodnight, then!" Tubbo replied, waving to me. I said my goodbyes and hurried back to the White House, ducking through the back door and going up into my bedroom. I collapsed onto my bed, a smile etched onto my face.

A/n - Fluff chapter before the angsty comes :) At the moment, Tubbo and (Y/n) still think of each other as just close friends, no feelings involved yet. Not for long, though! ;) Sorry for the slightly late chapter, I was busy earlier today :)

Bye!
