The plan was simple.

All of us except for Fundy would be fighting against Dream and his allies. The objective was to sandwich them in on both sides, so the six of them had to fight on both fronts in a limited space.

All the while, Fundy would change the Manberg flag to be the L'Manberg flag once more and search for Schlatt's location.

As we ran along the path, the first thing we heard was the sounds of fighting nearby. The three of us exchanged a nervous glance before sprinting into the field. When the others came into view, I could see a wave of relief come over Wilbur. He ducked Sapnap sword and ran over to us.

"They ambushed us before we were ready," Wilbur told us, "Come on, we don't have much time!" As Sapnap ran at us, I pulled out my bow and shot an arrow in his direction. His eyes widened, and he blocked it with his shield just in time.

"I can take him, Wilbur, go find someone else to help!" I yelled, running towards Sapnap. He narrowed his eyes and swung his axe at me, but I blocked it with my sword. He was much stronger than me, though, so the force of the blow knocked me backwards. The corner of his mouth turned to a smile as he took the chance to leap at me.

As his axe came down towards my head, I quickly ducked and took a step to the left. I pulled my bow out again and took another shot at his shoulder. This time, the arrow planted itself into his armour. I heard him hiss in pain before holding up his axe again.

I glanced around and saw Techno taking on Dream. The two gracefully exchanged blows around the battlefield, each as skilled as the other. Next to them, Tommy and Tubbo held off Punz. Behind me, Quackity was struggling to fight Purpled.

Sapnap swung at me again, and I quickly turned my attention back to our fight. I took a step backwards, holding up my shield, but his axe flew past it and brushed my side. I winced at the sting of the wound but held my ground.

Before he could register what I was doing, I ran at him as fast as I could, swinging my sword directly at his axe. As I made contact, the axe was knocked out of his hand and landed a few feet behind him. He looked at me in shock.

"Don't worry, I'm not feeling bloodthirsty today," I said, smirking, before running towards Quackity and Purpled. As I approached them, I grabbed a healing potion from my bag and gulped it down, shivering as the ice cold liquid washed through me. The pain from the cut on my right side began to subside, and the wound tickled as it closed itself.

Quackity stumbled backwards from Purpled's blow of his axe, and I quickly ran towards them. I fired an arrow in Purpled direction, catching his attention, before swinging my sword at his left leg. He blocked it, but then Quackity stabbed at his right arm.

The sword barely cut through his skin, but Purpled narrowed his eyes and covered the wound with his opposite hand. Before we could do anything else, a pearl appeared in the palm of his hand and he teleported to safety.

I looked over at Quackity, who stared at me with wide eyes.

"What? Want me to murder you?" I spat sarcastically. He shook his head hurriedly before racing off. I rolled my eyes; maybe he was finally starting to realize his mistake. I took a minute to look over the battlefield. Pogtopia was overwhelming Manberg through sheer numbers. Although Dream and his allies were better at fighting, they were struggling to keep up with two or more people at once.

Dream and Techno were at the center of them all, catching my eye. They would block and duck each other blows, each with no more of an advantage than the other. Potion effects circled around them, and broken, discarded bottles littered the floor. Suddenly, Dream ducked Techno's sword and ran towards the middle of the fighting.

"Everyone, stop!" he shouted loudly. Techno stalked towards him, uncertainty in his expression. Dream dropped his axe to the ground and crossed his arms. Everyone else paused as well and watched Dream in shock.

"What is it, Dream?" Tommy asked. The boy was covered in minor scrapes and bruised, but I sighed in relief knowing that he wasn't terribly injured. Tubbo looked about the same.

"We're surrendering," Dream said, to everyone's surprise, "I'm done. We won't fight you anymore." Tommy and Tubbo's mouths gaped. Techno raised his eyebrows. Wilbur didn't seem surprised.

"What? Dream, are you insane?" Sapnap exclaimed, stepping forward, "We can beat them, we can't just surrender—"

"Sap, we're outnumbered and we wouldn't be able to hold them off for much longer," Dream said to his friend, "And it's not like I want to fight this war anymore anyway. I won't follow Schlatt anymore."

"So, you're surrendering Manberg, then?" Wilbur questioned hesitantly. Dream nodded. He picked up his axe from the ground and put it away.

"And I'll tell you where Schlatt is," he added. My heart jumped in my chest, and all the other Pogtopians looked shocked as well.

"Why should we believe you?" Tommy asked, stepping towards Dream, "You betrayed us and sided with Manberg, so why should we believe that you're now surrendering and leading us to Schlatt?"

"Because Schlatt is an idiot and a coward," Dream replied, "And I'm not fighting his battles for him anymore. Come on, I'll show you where he is." He began walking, and after a few shared glances, all of us followed him.

"Hey guys, couldn't find Schlatt, but— wait, what happened?" Fundy said, appearing out of the forest.

"Dream surrendered, and he's taking us to Schlatt," Tommy told him. Fundy's ears raised in surprise, but he slipped next to us and we continued on our way. Tubbo tapped me on the shoulder gently, and I turned towards him.

"How are you doing? You're missing a healing potion from your bag," Tubbo said.

"Oh, I'm fine," I assured him, "Sapnap left a cut on my side, but I downed a potion and it's closed up already. Just a little numb, but I feel okay. Tubbo— did you look inside my bag?" His cheeks flustered and his eyes darted towards Tommy, who was having a conversation with Fundy.

"I was —um, just looking for something, mhm," Tubbo stuttered. I raised my eyebrow at him, but brushed the subject away. Tubbo could do as he wanted. After a few more minutes, Dream stopped walking and turned towards the rest of us.

"We're at the van," Tommy commented, "Is— is Schlatt in the van?"

"Indeed he is," Dream replied. The masked man took a step towards Wilbur and whispered something into the Pogtopian Leader's ear. Wilbur whispered something in return, nodding his head, before speaking to everyone else.

"How about we could confront that bitch, then?" Wilbur suggested, a hint of a smirk on his face. Everyone voiced their agreement, while I felt the color leave my face. I wasn't ready to face my brother, but I didn't have much of a choice at the moment.
